The Day I Turned Eighteen. =)

On the 14th of September 1991, It was a sunny afternoon (it should be) at Kuala Lumpur General Hospital. I was born at 12.25 afternoon. *cries* Or at least that's how I imagined it. I was named after a character in The Cosby Show, Denise Huxstable. =D

This post is really overdue thanks to all the studying and exams. I'm glad it's finally over for now as I have a big one coming up in 6 weeks (omgomgomg).

My Birthday this year was something out of the ordinary compared to the rest of the years. Eighteen years.. How time flies in just a blink of an eye.. This post is specially dedicated to my love ones and friends. =)

About 10 minutes before the clock strikes 12am, I was already asleep after talking to Afiq as I was exhausted from... studying? I've been feeling dead beat for the past 2 weeks coz I don't seem to have enough sleep and rest. I was awakened by the sound of my messenger (I left my laptop on). I happened to be on facebook since I left it when I was still awake.

My phone couldn't stop ringing too. As I read through the wishes in my phone,msn and facebook, I think I was about to cry by the number of people who remembered. I couldn't stop saying thank you and I definitely couldn't stop smiling. =) Even up till today, it never failed to put a smile on my face every time i remember it. The memory of it is still playing in my head over and again.

As usual, I woke up early to get ready for college and my mum came to me and wished me Happy Birthday with a really warm hug and also a red packet. She asked me,

"Are you sure you don't want a cake??" yes, I'm really sure.. =)

In college, I sat for Physics test which i wasn't supposed to coz i dropped that subject. I was like oh whatheheck, why not I just try doing it for fun. My classmates we struggling to finish it and I for one couldn't do any of the subjective questions..

Anywayyyy, after the test my friends brought me to yumyum park aka Mosquito Feasting Park. I was like "Uh-oh.. I wonder what are they gonna do"

Mei Yean showed up with a cake on the bench.. She opened it and it was Tiramisu cake!

"There're strawberries!!!!!"

"But too bad its not Korean strawberries. XD" Jeremy said.

Vi, Wye Kik and Jeremy appeared behind me with a huge gold colour parkson paper bag! @.@

I was really in awed and I had no idea they actually got me something I've been looking for and I've always wanted but never really got the time to find it and buy it.

As some of you may know, I have an obsession with the colour white. Ahhh! I never knew that you guys really bought one for me!

I don't know what was I doing here but I think I just finished making my birthday wish.

You could see how happy and excited I was.

All of them forced me to bite off a piece of cake at the corner. I did and they tried to puch my head onto the cake. Cliche but all of us were entertained. They smudge my face with cake insted. =/

You guys skipped Biology Practical just for me. =) I dunno how are you people gonna come up with an excuse for that when mr.foo asks. @.@

My day wasn't over YET. Mei Yean fetched Elle and I home. =D We made a pit stop to SMK Hulu Kelang but I didn't go inside. I bet a lot of things have changed since I left.

Elle told me,

"Make sure you get ready before 3.30 ah!!"
"Why??"
"Stop asking and shut up! A limo is coming to pick us up. =D"
"*stunned* whattt???? Ei, don't scare me okay... you serious ah??"
"yea lahhhhh.. faster go bathe and wear semi formal!!"
"where are we going and why semi formal???"
"....... Just do as I say"


I was sort of panicking coz of what Elle told me and in the end she told me it was a joke. =/ rarw!

After awhile, I saw the "limo" Elle was telling me. There I was by my window and I saw 3 guys in formal white shirt. =D Afiq, Julian and Kent.

Afiq showed up at my doorstep looking different from the rest of the time both of us spent time with each other. =D

Afiq : Elle, go do it now.
Me : Do what???
Afiq : You'll see...

Afiq brought me into my messy room and I don't have the slighest clue on what they're doing.. I was obviously extremely curious and even Afiq couldn't resist telling me. He didn't tell me anything even after I interrogated him. =/

He looked into my eyes and whispered to me, Happy Birthday Denise.... =) You're legal! and also, I hope you'll enjoy the rest of the day, baby.. Come, it's time to go.

Elle knocked my door telling Afiq and I that it's time to go. You know... there was so many question marks and theres no answer for every question marks I had in my head.

Something like that...

We got into Afiq's car but he wasn't driving it but Julian is. =D

Me : Juliannnn... Where are we going???
Afiq : Noooo Julian, don't tell her!
Julian : Errr.... we going somewhere out of KL..

Again I was clueless. I didn't know what to expect at all. And then we ended up at Pavilion KL! My favourite Shopping Mall in the whole wide world. Initially I thought that we were going to eat but its kinda impossible since Afiq is fasting and it was only 4pm.

Elle dragged me to somewhere leaving the guys doing I don't know what. I was really surprised when I saw Afiq and Julian with their coats on. @.@ We were gonna watch a movieeee!


what are we watchinggg???? As far as I'm concerned, I think I watched almost all the awesome movies already. More questions but I didn't wanna ask coz I think I asked too much already..

As I was watching the beginning od the movies, the first thing I saw was Katherine Heigl and Gerard butler, I knew what movie it was..

I've been wanting to watch this movie and again, thank to my exams, I couldn't.

The movie was hilarious! The most memorable part was probably the vibrating panties and The Bean.

Its one of the great movie's I've ever seen. =DDD

After the movie, Elle told me...

Its not over yet you know.. HEHEEHHEHE.
Gosh, I love you Elle coz you're cute! No doubt but you complain too much. XD

We hopped into Afiq's car and Afiq took out his tie and blindfolded me. It worked for awhile but after that, the tie keep coming off and he had to close my eyes with his hands instead.

Are we there yet???

When we arrived, Afiq finally let go of his hands from my eyes and there I saw his face parallel onto mine with a smile and a whisper "Hi" and your eyes, I'll never forget them.

And then I saw...

The Crowne Plaza Hotel. Julian used to work here as a bartender..

We booked a room here. =DD Oh dear.. a room....

The 3 of them brought me to a fine dining restaurant called Ishq. Its an exotic combination of scent and texture from an unmatched contemporary Asian fine dining.

The food was indded a mixture and more to indian food. =DDD I love the ambience of the place and we sat by the window, looking out at the green trees ouside and the warm deem lightings. It was truly a relaxed vibe.

I know my camera isn't goos at all and since the deem lights don't work well with my camera its not really nice but ah well.... =)

I was speechless. I was almost breathless. I never thought that I'll get this.. =D

We ordered our food and it was just in time for Afiq to break his fast.

Elle and I ordered 2 of these Salmon with Coriander Sauce. The corriander sauce was awesome. I love it so so so much!!!

After dinner, it was time to go home... I wished it would never end but it has to. Afiq told me, Denise... I got something for you later..

I didn't know what else to say. I was already ecstatic and really impressed with how everything was planned out.. I love having small chats with each other in the car and also teasing each other and you'll never let me win. Only sometimes... =DD

When we reached home, Afiq and Elle opened the trunk and took out a gigantic piece of paper and a silver box with a shiny ribbon.

I think I was about to tear but I tahan only.... =P


In my room, I put all everything down on my bed. I stared at it like for 10 minutes with thoughts running thrrough my mind. I was still digesting everything that happened on that day.

I opened the evelope from my friends..

After that, I opened the huge ass card from my parents, Afiq, Elle, Julian and Kent got for me.

I saw RADLEY and I know what it was. ahhhhh!!!! =DDDDDDD I've always seen this brand on the shelves and I always put the back after looking looking how nice it is made and also the price of it.


I never thought I would get a new purse. I really needed a new one too as i've been searching high and low for one. =DDD I love it!!!!!!

After a long vivacious, jolly and happy day filled with surprises after surprises, I slept with a big smile before I take off into dreamland. I didn't expect anything extraordinary like this but I had a blast on my birthday.

I'm proud to have such awesome and attentive friends. Although we do get annoyed with each other sometimes, but deep down we do enjoy each other's presence.

To Elle, Afiq, Julian and Kent, A really big Thank You . Words are inadequate to describe what I wanna say now. All of you planned everything out wonderfully and I am very grateful for what I have.. =)

and Afiq.. My enormous teddy! You're always here to make my happy as always. You are ever so understanding and loving and I'm out of words to describe already. I love having a playful debate with you and I know I complain alot on how bad i screwed up my papers, not having enough sleep, missing you and all. I dunno how you can bare with me, really. Don't stress youself too much okay? =)

Of random updates and Chester's Drawing.

I dunno what to update. @.@

1. Its Exam week now. I've been studying. College is like damn empty coz the Diploma students are also having exams.
2. I officially hate manual cars. ugh.
3. I hate the lady who kissed my dad's car. Some lady was too busy with her phone that she didn't even know the cars stopped and just banged my dad's car without pressing the break. My dad's whole car hancur.
   
4. Y'wanna know why do I hate her?? Coz I have to wake up 30 minutes earlier for college. My mum has to fetch me to college and she has been grumbling and complaining that she'll be stuck in a jam if she does. So, I had to find other way to get my ass to college. Such as calling for a cab every morning that would cost me RM14 one way. That's enough to buy lunch for 3 days. Another way is that I had to go to Vi's house every morning at 6.50 a.m. and have mosquitoes feasting on me coz Vi will be bathing every time i arrive. =.= Its frustrating you know.
   
5. I HATE YOU, LADY!
6. Every time I take a cab, the cab drivers will always ask me "Are you Korean??" or "Are you local??" I mean it, EVERYTIME. I like being Malaysian, thank you. =)
7. Ampang is getting more dangerous. My sister witnessed a snatch thieve incident right in front of my house with her very own eyes. It happened right in front of her.
   
8. My classmates, Chester msn-ed me one day asking for my picture coz he want to draw me and also to practice his drawing skills. It took some time but he finally finished it. =D Boy, I was so excited to see it. First, he sent me a half-done portrait. and then the final product.

Nothing much to update I suppose..

Malaysia's 52nd Independence Day.

I'm not all hyped about it this year. In fact, I don't really feel anything actually. I have no idea. I love being Malaysian, no doubt and also the face that its my home.

I have to admit, I'm not a patriotic type of person. That doesn't mean I don't love my country. What I love most about being a Malaysian is that I love the varieties of food from different cultures ranging from Malay cuisine, Chinese cuisine (which I eat almost everyday), Indian, Punjabi and the list goes on.

As I can see it through my eyes that the races in Malaysia are not really united as One as our country's political issues are.... I would say not stable. Now, I don't wanna go into that. -.- Even with the 1Malaysia program launched by our current Prime Minister Datuk Sri Najib Tun Razak. Honestly, I don't know if OneMalaysia is gonna' work out. It has been 52 years, or less and look how far we've come. With the racial issues we've been facing all through the years and also recently. Okay, maybe I'm not being really fair. Maybe it might work out. =D

You know what I think personally?? Malaysians are always united when there is FOOD! Well.. most of the time, I would say. Okay... now I don't exactly know what I am talking about. Food??? o.O Nevermind. I don't know where is this leading to so I might as well stop here.

Its fasting month, I feel really weird eating in a restaurant with no people.

Seriously. Its not fun eating alone. In this case, the definition of alone is not having strangers sitting beside your table.

I went shopping for clothes with Elle. But she ditched me halfway
So, when she ditched me, I was in this store for like.... forever? trying almost everything. Some looked nice but when I try it on, it doesn't fit me well.

So, I got it.

I got abt 6 pieces of clothes from the same shop. =D

I've got more to write about but suddenly (now) I'm just not in the mood.
