Of novels, money and shopping.

There was something wrong with my previous post which causes some weird arrangement of my blog content. So, I decided to delete it and it's back to normal now. For the past 2 days, I've been spending my time with my aunties. One of my auntie(my mum's sister) drove down all the way to KL from Sitiawan, Perak. They are here to send their maid to the airport for a short holiday. So, I get to meet my young cousins. =DD 

They are really adorable but they can be very annoying. Especially the girls. They kept asking me to watch tv with them and play hide and seek. Haha. I don't mind playing with them at all. Actually, I do enjoy spending my time with them and spoil them. Their definition of tv is cartoons. ah, who cares? Its Tom and Jerry. I loved watching T&J even though the violence never make sense. I love kids. I know taking care of one kid is a heavy responsibility and it tires you most of the time.

I've been living with a dog or puppy (I'm not sure). A brown Shih Tzu. =) Shih Tzu means Lion dog in Chinese. They received that name because of their long, flowing mane-like hair. It belongs to my auntie and she named it Brownie. Brownie is a very intelligent, active, adorable, playful and has a wet nose/face. It gets really excited when there is someone new. She will start licking and sniffing them (this includes me) or sometimes even nibble your toe. I want a pet dog but it's impossible for me to have one now. Unless I got it as a present. haha. My mum don't like pets and my house is too small to keep a dog larger than a shih tzu. There are a few reasons why I want one. 

other than that, I was out shopping with my aunties at KLCC and Sungai Wang. I bought a few things from Esprit, Chameleon, and Metrojaya. NO, I did not shop till' I drop. I'm on a tight budget now. I spent about RM 140 on the things I bought. Its not much but actually I bought most of my clothes using vouchers. My aunties, my mum and I spent about RM300 worth of vouchers. haha. =D So, basically, I got some of my clothes for free. Thanks to Metrojaya and their membership card. Every RM 10 you spend, you'll get 1 point. That 1 point is equivalent to RM 1. So, you do the math.

I'm so relieved that my trials SPM is over! Currently, I'm having a one week break. I have nothing much to blog about. I want to finish up all my novels. Currently, I'm reading Mitch albom's Tuesday's with Morrie. Next in line is Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code and Cecelia Ahern's Thanks For the Memories. Vi asked me, "what took you so long to read Tuesday's with Morries? How thick is that book anyway? I finished Da Vinci Code in 2 days!" LOL. I bought Tuesday's with Morrie a month ago and we were having our trials remember?? swt. Anyway, I'm gonna continue reading now.

Hmmm.... Is today The Singapore National Grand Prix 2008 at Marina Bay, Singapore? lol.. I think it is. haha. I heard its beautiful and the race is at night. lol... It looks interesting and different.

Hang on. Just a few more days.

I can't take the pressure anymore! its too much.

Here's a quick update.

Number 1

I just discovered I'm not allergic to prawns anymore. That means I'm not allergic to other seafood anymore! Muahahaha!!! I'm quite happy about this although I still have doubts eating it after all the years trying to avoid it.. 

Number 2

I love sleeping with a very dim light on. It makes me feel so homey and cosy. =) 

Number 3

I don't like using Facebook and Friendster. I hardly use them anymore. =.=" 

Facebook is like a plate of spagatthi with chocolate, marshmallows and eggs. Yes, this does not make sense, I know that. But that the point, its messy.

Friendster is like the leftover of the spagetthi I ate.

Number 4

I need a new metronome or batteries. LOL. I'm not sure whether my digital metronome is damaged or theres no electtric energy produced by the dry cell. 

My metronome is nuts. Sometimes, it turns on by itself and *poof* its off again.

I just found out why I gained so much weight this year. its because I've not been practising my flute consistantly for the whole year.

I'm on a diet. Not really a planned diet or a diet, diet. The term diet in my own words is not eating lunch or dinner. either one.

I've been sms-sing too much lately. lol... its not that I don't have enough money. I'm just afraid i might be addicted or being too attached to my phone. So far, i'm not experiencing any of it. I need a new phone la..... eish.... my inbox is way too full now.

I want to read my Tuesdays with Morrie. which I can't!!

I'm addicted to novels. I want to read themmmmmm!!!! but I have to resist it....

I'm sick of reading the papers. Sick of whats currently going on. But, I'm curious to know what's gonna happen soon. XD

I think I might need to have an appointment with my optomologist. Optomologist=eye specialist/doctor. I get "lost" when I look at the time or read music notes nowadays.

I want cookiesss!!!!!! I mean... I want hari raya cookiessss!!!! Me like it! Although some ppl might not like biscuits or pastries coz they might find it powdery or smthg. but I love pastries and cookies!!

Its really creepy to go out at night especially after breaking fast. Thes no cars on the road!!!

I'm really annoyed at motorist/drivers who don't have a life!! Here's an incident.

I was walking home after tuition. I bought 2 packet of burger and I was eating one of them while walking home la. Then there's this 2 malay dude on their "bike" speed pass me and say, 

"woi! tak puasa ke!??"

Do I not look like a Chinese??? or maybe you're just pointing out the fact that I need to lose some weight?

Sunday Morning.

Miss me?? XD It seems that now I can only update my blog once a week. I wouldn't want the exams solely be the reason for me not blogging. Currently, I don't have any papers to sit for today, tomorrow and also the day after. =D But, my paper will resume on Thursday onwards.

Last week has been a really stressful week for me. All the writing papers like BM, English, History, Moral and EST. Not having enough sleep is also one of them. 

Since its a fasting month, my after school schedule has been really troublesome. 

Well, the worst would be on Thursday since I have to walk to Prestasi because I have no transport to get there. So, I have to walk with Vi and Khai Wen. I got out of the house late because I was searching for my phone that went MIA(missing in action). I tried calling my phone using the house phone like countless of times.

Finaly, I found it. It was burried in my cupboard under a pile of clothes. Hm... I think its more like a hill coz theres too many clothes lying all around. =.=" lol... i had to rush out. walk to Prestasi. One hour later, walk to Dinamik from Prestasi for Physics tuition. lol...

Anyway, I had a really great weekend despite the exam fever that is still lingering. I would really like to thank everyone who made the effort to wish me Happy Birthday. =D Its one of the most meaningful birthday for me. 

How did I celebrate my birthday this year??

For the past 2 years, I would throw a party and invited some friends over at my place. Well, this year I decided not to have one. All I want is just a simple birthday but at the same time, celebrate it in my own way. Just the way I wanted it. =) Well, probably I would throw a post birthday celebration after my trials. JUST MAYBE.... I may not do it too since I don't have anything in mind besides my exams coming up soon.

Well, the main reason I'm writing this post is to thank everyone who remembered. =) 

My parents most importantly. I got some casy from them.. hehe...

Duncan, who sang me a song through Facebook just like every other year. and also for calling me early in the morning with a groggy voice just to wish me happy birthday.

What about now?

Since tmr I'll be sitting for my EST trials paper, so i guess its ok to blog a little bit here. XDXD

After days of sleepless nights of studying, I realised that theres no use sleeping early and waking up too early like... 3am? just to study. I ended up sleeping all the way till 6am. =.="

So, here's my post for the week. Its about the INTI College Challange. that our school won.

Seriously! We keep change the scripts like.... a million times???

But the best part is, all of us had fun working together as a class. =)

20 people. 2 dramas. 2 weeks(writing the scripts, acting it out, practice after practice).

tooo much fun! and stress. XD.

This concludes that we work best under stress. I think.

There I was, running for my life. I got wet anyway. Inconsiderate people!!

These drivers really love making pedestrians life miserable don't they?? grrr...

I bet some of you might know about the latest software created by Google.

Yes, I like the name of it.

Google Chrome.

Sounds really stylish and sophisticated. XD. Well, I never knew anything about this until Wai Min told me about it. So, I decided to check it out. It seems that its better than Mozilla Firefox. XD

20 minutes ago, I was using Mozilla Firefox. Of all the search engines so far. The best would be Mozilla Firefox. I really hate using Internet Explorer (IE) to the core.

It has tons of pop ups

Opening a new tab takes longer time than mozilla. (i'm quite impatient)

and..so far thats all... Nothing much but I hate it anyway. XD

So, now, I've found a better software.

Don't you just love the name of it??? I do... =D

I haven't explore it thoroughly yet.. But, I really like it.

This software is a free and an open source web browser developed by Google.

It was launched 2 days ago, 3rd September 2008. Well, currently, I'm only using the BETA version of it for Microsoft Windows only. Unfortunately, for Mac OS X and Linux users, you people have to wait for it to be released... well... soon... XDXD

My Date with Jian

XD Yup, that the title. There are reasons behind this title. Wanna find out more? Keep on reading..

Who is this person called Jian you might wonder?

Okay, I know most of you readers would know who I'm talking about just by reading the title of this post. As far as I'm aware, most you who are reading now knows me and my circle of friends. Anyhow, lets begin...

His name is Tan Pei Jian. (we have the same sur name. =) His nickname would be Jian/Shadow/Xajin. I usually call him Pei Jian although he kept reminding me to call him Jian. He is one year and 2 months older than I am.

As you know, I could hardly ever forget birthday dates at all. Its odd sometimes that I keep forgetting what day is today but I remember birthday dates quite well. Well, Jian was born on the 15th of November 1990. It was a sunny day!

I've known him for 4 years and a half if I'm not mistaken. As far as I could remember, I could not recall what was our first conversation. I bet it goes something like this....

Hey YOU!

Who? me??? *looks at who is this fella*

yeah... you! there with the blue bag...

errr....... yes???

What's your name??????? *with an amazingly large smile plastered on the face*

okay... no... it didnt go that way alright... I dunno... Somehow, we just knew each other.. It all started waaay back when I was in Form 2. Thats when I started to know him. Well, we were not that close that time. Both of us were librarians.

As time flies, I got to know him better. This is becauese, both of us were involved in the School Drama in 2006. I was in form 3 and he was in Form 4. He was The Director for the whole English Drama. Infact, he was the Director from the very beginning of the drama until he left school. He was a great actor indeed.


He's always passionate in everything he does. Especially in drama's. Full of emotions and always give it all out. As you know, a drama wouldn't be a drama without a twist of happiness, sadness and anger. All of those, he is able to potray in a drama successfully. Especially the sadness and anger part.. However, in real life, its hard to act. Acting is fun but Reality is way better.

In reality, I would say there are some similarities in term of character. He's a short tempered person especially when people picks on him. He's also an emotional person. There are a lot of meaning of emotional. It depends on how you classify them. What I meant here is that he is an emotional person in the sense that he can express his emotion very easily. However, he tend to over react at time. Well, that makes everyone different right?

Yeah, we got to know each other better during drama practices. We had lotsa fun didn't we?? *wink* I'll never forget those times. Infact, he even made me pose like a lala girl in front of the camera. and after that, I swore to never ever take a picture like that ever again. lol... But all of those are memories now. To be honest, I never regretted doing that at all. XD

On the same year, I remember having an argument or misunderstanding towards him. Well, I wasn't really involved in it actually. But, looking at what was happening as a third party, honestly I would say that you were in the wrong. So, things got a little rocky there but eventually, we patched up. All of it end with just a simple sentence "I'm Sorry"

Well, life can't be just as simple as ABC's or 123's right? I think that's the first time he saw me being really angry. XD. Well, it was a long time ago anyway.

That was all for year 2006.

In year 2007, aha!! This was the year a lot of things happened. It was a memorable year both the both of us. Memorable as in good and bad.

This year, he was the Head of the School Librarians. Remember what I said about him being passionate in whatever he is doing? Yeah, he did his job really well. This was the year where all the Librarians suffer under his herculean power in the Library. (except me and a few others)XD

While carrying out his duty, he was not the type o leader that would give in to any mistakes. He had the vito power to fire(scold) anyone who turns up late for duty.

He would question you why were you not present for duty.
He would have meetings after meetings with all of the Librarians just to remind them time and again what they should and should not do.
The best of all, most of the Librarians are scared of him. Some even resigned because they could not handle the responsibility.

Well, honestly he was a good leader. The management of the library was much better than the year before. Even though we were low in term of quantity, but its the quality that matters most.

Besides that, 2007 was his senior year. He and his friends were really active organising numerous activities such as The recycling stuffs, X-challange and so on..

They are the 4 amigos. Always together no matter where they went. XD I remember you saying something about the 4 of you. "United We Stand, Divided We Fall" XD. Well, You guys were really fun to be with!

As months passed, SPM for pei jian is just around the corner. well, things happened to me and things happened to him. It was a bittersweet year for me. He' s a great listener. =) Thank you very much.
