Denise on a Tuesday Part 2

About 2 weeks ago, Afiq invited me to go to his college to eat. As in becoming a guest(duh) dining at a fine dining restaurant. The restaurant was run by hospitality students and it was their practical . XD

My parents used to go for these kinds of things coz many many years back, my auntie was studying Hotel Management and she was living with us while she was studying. I still remember when I was like 4 or 5 years old I used to play with my auntie's hair dryer and her make up. XD She used to come home very late and leave the house really early. So, I barely see her around and I couldn't remember much about her living with us. XD

Anyway.... Initially, I asked Mei Yean and Wye Kik to go but they can't make it. So, Vi, Suhan (vi's bro) and Kok Siang went with me instead.. =DD My mum was supposed to fetch us there. The plan changed at the very last minute when Derrick rang me. He finished his college early and decided to drive all the way to my place from his college in PJ. I was like, "Are you serious?? @.@??" Yeah, he was..

I was worried that he might be stuck in the traffic jam due to rush hour and also as you know, fasting month. Everyone wants to go home early to cook dinner. XD You know, I haven't met Derrick for like.... ?? nevermind . He was stuck in a jam indeed.. It makes me wonder what made him drove all the way to Ampang from PJ?? Well, he always wanted to see my mum coz its been a long time.. ahaha.. I'm not sure why actually. Maybe he just wanna meet up with us. =) awww.

After that, all of us hopped into Derrick's apple green myvi and off we go. =DD I was a little bit moved when I got into the car. =/

After Derrick dropped us off, he went out to eat dinner.
Afiq appeared from the back as he covers my eyes.. =)

We got our coupons and we entered the restaurant.
Fine dining it was.
Vi, Kok and I were really in need of a tutorial on Fine Dining for Dummies.
But, thank god I knew a little bit about dining/silverware etiquette. =D
For instance, my bread plate is positioned on my left.
Never pick up any silverware if you dropped it.
Use the silverware from the outside in.
Don't be late - we broke that rule.
How to place your silverware to indicate you've finish eating.
Always thank your server at the end of the meal.
etc.

Anyway, our server of the day was Justin. He was... alright I suppose. He looked kinda nervous. XD Maybe its because he's still learning. Can't blame him.

I looked at our server, Justin.
He said, "Afiq did it specially for you.."

Vi and Kok Siang were like "Not fair!! how come you got more and we have less?? =/"
All of us were giggling and laughing coz I had more.
It taste good! =P

I took the longest to finish up my meal coz I had more to eat. Justin was like waiting by our table for me to finish my meal which I find it quite... I dunno if its supposed to be that way or not?
Anyway.. it was dessert time!

damn, i felt so special that night.

I asked Justin,
"how come mine has chocolate on it and my friends don't??"

Apparently they ran out of chocolate since we were a lil' late.
Afiq and Julian saved the last one for me.. =DDD

All I wanna say is that I hardly get the chance to feel special and it feels really good to have the chance to feel that way. I know its just a meal but its the little things we do that makes it special. I mean, I would do the same if my boyfriend and I switch places.

After our meal, I met his friends in person. LOL.
I could see they're those type of people that will light up a classroom! XD

The Life and Times of College Life.

I've been doing lotsa things for the past 2 weeks. Yeah, very happenning! =DD So much so, that I didn't really have the time for a real post. I don't know why... Although my readers (YOU) never really asked for an update but I go for it anyway. So, here are the life and times of my life in college!

A week ago, I was still looking for a dress for Appreciationg Night. Over here In Tunku Abdul Rahman College, Appreciation Night is also known as Pom Night. In short, we call it A.NITE. It is organised by The School of Pre-University Studies (SPUS). I'm proud to be in SPUS!!

I keep delaying on my plan to buy a dress coz my old ones couldn't fit anymore. Last week Wednesday, one of our class was cancelled (again) so Mei Yean and I decided that we head to MidValley to shop for our dress. Our A.Nite is on Saturday and we're actually shopping at the 11th hour.

We took the Putra Line from Tmn Melati to KL Sentral. It took us abt 45 minutes to actually reached there coz both of us went back to Tmn Melati Station from Setiawangsa to search for a reload card that may or may not be there. Thank god, Mei Yean found her reload card.. XD

That day was also my first time taking KTM.

I don't like taking KTM. Now I understand how you feel, Afiq.. and also Joel.

Mei Yean and I literally walking all over MidValley like 5 or 6 times to find our dresses. We also went to The Gardens but couldn't find any. We went into so many shops, changing rooms, waiting for each other, trying out so many pieces of dresses.

This Dark Purple dress look really nice and it fits perfectly on me. The only problem I had was the price. It was way over my budget.

This pink one was too loose.

This one was nice too but it was black and I don't want anymore black. It was a little bit loose too and I don't wanna feel uncomfortable so I didnt get it.

We had porridge and char kuay with Soya Bean for Lunch.
Mei Yean loves porridge. XD
I love the char kuay so much coz it was so crispy.

I got a lot of phone calls and smses while I was shopping.
I sorta got annoyed when Elle called coz it was my last straw.
She only called once but too many people have been calling non-stop.
Sorry Elle!!
Well, when she called to ask me where was I, I knew something was going on but I never knew what it was.

After 6 hours of non-stop walking, it was time to go home. we found our dresses at an awesome price. I had fun that day going shopping after such a long time. I'll never forget that silicone thingy. AHAHAHA!

I took the STAR line from Bdr Tasik Selatan to Ampang. You know, since I don't have a choice I really appreciate that our public transport system is quite reliable. It was already 9.30 p.m

I got a call from the boyfriend that he would fetch me to grab a bite to eat since I was extremely hungry. =DDDD I felt really relieved when I got into the car coz that was the only time I can actually sit. KTM and LRT was filled with people and so I had to stand for 1 hour.

We went to O'briens at great Eastern Mall for dinner.


Sandwich was my dinner. I didn't really mind coz I was so damn hungry. It was awesome.!! The sandwich was filled with salmon, chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, some crispy thing which was sweet, potato chips with wholemeal bread. I had Tiramisu too. =DD Thank you so much for the dinner!! The next one is on me, okay?? No buts and no exceptions! =P

After I finished my dinner, I was already exhausted. Really exhausted. Imagine being out of the house for 16 hours.

Oh! One more thing.. I knew what you were planning for that day my dear. You wanted to surprise me after my class ended in college earlier that day but I went out with Mei Yean instead to Midvalley to get our dresses.
I know you were a little sad and I didn't know (wait, it was supposed to be a surprise).
I never told you that I knew about it but I found out somehow. =)

On Friday, I had to attend an Award Giving Ceremony for Scholars at The College Hall. So, it is compulsory for all of us to weal formal attire on that day. And so, I wore this to college

Imagine wearing formal attire to classes everyday.
ugh. I don't think I want that coz of the weather.


The Ceremony was kind of a waste of time if I never heard the speeches by the previous scholars. I only got my certificate later since they can't be giving it out one by one since there were thousands of us. However, I realised that TAR College actually gave RM 6.4 million worth of scholarships in total every year. We need not have to go for an interview as they didn't have one and no interview was required. It is all based on your SPM results.

Mei Yean drove down to Ampang from Cheras. We went to Ampang Waterfront and had our hair done. =D


It took us abt an hour to finish both our hair. We were kinda late also. We reached my house at 5p.m. The event starts at 5p.m and we haven't even wore our dresses yet.

It was my first time going to a prom and so I didn't really expect much. It kinda sucked coz from what my friends described about their high school prom's it was way better. On A.Nite, there were too many performances. I must say some of them are really good.

But what really bores me to death was the Prom King and Queen Catwalk. It was way to draggy and in opinion, there's no need to catwalk like 3 times. The dancing part was nice. =D That was the only time I really enjoyed myself. The food sucked except the chocolate muffin. XD

After everything was over, some of us decided to go to Mamak for supper. But, we ended up in McD MRR2 instead of mamak.



Damn, I hate you McD.
I can never not eat you.






I wanted to see my hair for the last time so...


Joel had to go home and Ivy was too tired, so they left earlier. Whereas, the 3 of us sat in McD talking about our childhood cartoons like Cow and Chicken, Johnny Bravo, CatDog, Rugrats, I am Weasel, Dexter's Laboratory (ooooooohhh, what does this button do? *click* and *kaboom!!!*), Bear in The Big Blue House, etc. XD Talked about life as usual. How the little things that we do can stir things up.

I dodn't want that night to end so fast but we had to go home coz it was already so late.


I've been out and came home much later than this but I just don't feel like going out so late anymore. Its too tiring and it disturbs my sleeping hours.

I slept at 6.40 a.m coz I had to wash my hair like 3-4 times to get rid of the wax spray and glitters. I woke up at 3 p.m and my hair was still kinda stiff and I can't stand it that my hair is stiff so I washed it another 2 times. wth.

This week would be the last week os college before the term break starts. A few events were going on and one of it was the Launching Of Merdeka Celebration at SPUS's H Block.


It was a very simple and sweet launching ceremony. I liked it.
It was organised by the Science and Mathematics Society. Good job, guys!

I heard that One Malaysia is about uniting all the races in Malaysia towards globalisation or something like that, I dunno. I have to read the newspapers lah, which I don't do so often nowadays.

Besides this, there was also the SPUS inter-school Sports Carnival going on for the whole week. There was basketball, volleyball, badminton, futsal, football, squash and swimming competition. I wasn't involved in any of it but I did stayed back to support my friends who were competing on one particular day. So sorry if I missed some of your match!

A big thank you to Jeremy and Joel who teman-ed me as I was sitting all alone at certain points.. =DD I really appreciate that.

I was kinda engrossed, I dunno why although I'm not a basketball fanatic.

Halfway watching the match, Afiq called and we wanted to meet up but I was still watching the match. So, he drove to my college and watched the match with me. =)) *hugs*

Wye Kik, Vi and I were supposed to get 1901 after the match but the competition will end quite late. It was already almost 8pm and I've never stayed back in college until that late before. So, Afiq and I decided to leave earlier and meet up with them at AP later.

We dropped by Nando's to get something for his sister and he drove back to his house for awhile and then we meet up with Wye Kik and Vi at AP.


The queue was really long, as always.
Who wouldn't buy 1901 at a hot price of Rm2 each. XD
The 4 of us sat at McD with so many pairs of eyes staring at us.
I was so freaking hungry that I ate 3 hotdogs.

There were a lot more things happened in college but I can't rally recall them and these are only the few that I picked to blog about. XD

Ooohhh.... Yeah, its okay. But my mum wasn't pleased the fact that my hand turned out like that. I was quite sad coz it looks really ugly. But, don't worry.. i'll definitely donate my blood again.

I'm so sorry about that, Denise but I'm glad to hear your hand is okay now. And one more thing, if you do donate your blood again in 3 months time, you can come out our centre and get a free Hepatitis B vaccination.

Despite having so many things on my shoulders right now, I really enjoy myself being in college. I know I need to study religiously which I don't coz I'm not a person who can study all the time but I have to force myself to do so. I shall start my study routine now.

Men's Magazine

They're quite limited in the market. The only men's magazine I know are like Men's Health, GQ (GQ stands for Gentlemen's Quarterly) Magazine, Esquire and Maxim.


Unlike women's magazine, they have kazillion of them in stores. I didn't buy this magazine (pic) but I got it for free from Appreciation Night last week..

Its not really thick although I wish it was but they have loads of great stuffs in it.

ok lah, I bet some of you can already guess what's inside it.

wtf. My saliva is accumulating in my mouth already.

Healthy food.

Men loves food. Their stomach is like their 2nd brain.
Without it, they can't function under standard conditions.

Besides food there are other sections like Adventures,Health, Nutrition. Abs Page, Tech and Toys, Style and Relationships

Its quite interesting to read men's point of view on relationships. Although you can't exactly trust the content of the article but I make it as a guideline. At least I know how to know how true or false is it. I'm also curious to know. =D

I was having my break in the morning and I read this chinese magazine, where the cover is all pink with the covergirl who has a pair large cute eyes and a peace sign glued to her face.
I don't know if its a la-la magazine but I love their clothes. I mean, the clothes are like normal clothing pieces and they have tutorials on make-ups, hair styling etc.

The only thing I hate abt it is the excessive usage of the peach sign and the pointing finger which is placed on the lips. >.< Anyway...... Oh! The exciting part of reading a men's magazine is their pictures.

It has been a really really long and busy busy week. As always, I have a lotta things to do from Monday to Friday. Mainly its all about college, tutorials and stress. I wanna have some fun too y'know? Well, today is sort of a fun day I assume. Appreciation Night(aka prom) is tonight. =D Please, I hope it would be awesome!!

Oh! remember my badly bruised hand that I got from the blood donation???

gawd.. I can't stand looking at it. I have to wear long sleeve clothes most of the time. I only have like a few long sleeve shirts.

Well... I'm quite relieved coz

Its getting better.. =D
I don't know how am I gonna go to A. Night with my hand like that..
Maybe I'll use some make up to cover it up..

Blood Donation, Frustration, Driving and Outings.

On Monday, Wye Kik, Mei Yean, Larry and I went to The College Hall to donate blood.

Yeap, its our first time. =D
I've always wanted to donate my blood..

We had to fill up a form about our medical history. There are a lots of questions like,

Are you on drugs??
Are you currently having your menstruation?
Have you been pregnant for the past 1 year?
Do you have multiple sexual partners?
(for guys) Have you had any sexual activity with another man?? - yeah..strange but according to them, a man who had sex with another man has a higher chance of contracting a STD. or something like that.

After filling up the form, we had to check our blood. Oh! Guess what is my blood type?? =D

Im a Universal Donor.

I bet some of you or most of you are afraid of needles.
The needles used for blood transfusion is much much thicker than the ordinary thin needles.
Actually, the thicker needle is painless. Seriously. Then thin needles are the painful ones. Ok lah.. Its not that painful- its like an ant bite.

They took abt 200 ml of my blood and then my blood clotted. @.@
The nurse said she had to remove the needle from my left arm and that my blood stopped flowing coz my veins are too small. The blood bag was already half-filled. So, the nurse asked me if I wanted to continue on the right hand. I agreed. XD

When they took out the needle from my veins, my left arm swelled like a balloon. After awhile, it subsides.

The blood flow of my right arm was much much better than my left arm and it filled up the blood bag. I was happy when it was over. =DD So, they actually took 500ml of my blood instead of 300 ml. After everything was done, I ate some bread and went home. I was so tired and my hands were aching.

So, I slept early and I was in shock the next morning

I was like F!!!!!!
and then it just got worse.

I mean it looked worse.

2 days after the donation

Today.

It looks like I've been hit by gangsters/ abused/ fell down.
Its just blood clot and not painful at all.

After the donation, I got a certificate

I am using both Digi and Hotlink and now I have another Hotlink number. Now, I have 3 numbers. I haven't activate the new one coz I don't intend to use it and its already registered under my name. Well, thanks for the number anyway.. XD

On Saturday morning, I was down and out with the flu.
More like an allergic reaction in the form of flu.
I checked my phone to find 15 miss calls and 7/8 messages.

I slept early the night before coz I was already not feeling so good.
I had to cancel my latin dance class in the morning.

My mum, 2 of my aunties, my uncle and Elle got into an accident on their way to Pavilion.
I was supposed to follow them but I didn't.
The back part of the car is badly damaged.
I saw the picture of it also I sakit hati already.

Sunday,
I woke up late coz I was still recovering from my flu.
Slept from 10 p.m to 2p.m 16 hours.
Went to a family's friend house at GrandVille, USJ 1 for a party.
Had some nasi lemak, satay, cheesecake and a few glasses of champagne.
Loved the champagne - taste really refreshing. =DD and I really need it too.

I have no pictures coz my phone is out of battery and I left my charger at my auntie's house.

I am feeling really frustrated and annoyed right now.
My studies are killing me slowly.
I don't quite like being in a relationship where both of us can hardly see/spend time with each other.
I hate it when I don't get enough sleep.
I hate it when people hide things from me and then lie about it.
I hate it when my parents nag at me.

I don't really feel like blogging actually.

ps : i feel like opening a bottle of wine in the kitchen cupboard now. @.@ I really feel like drinking it but my parenst would freak out the next morning. Oh, I wouldn't be able to wake up for college tmr. wth. screw it. I'll save that for another time.

Of Surprises and Laughters

Last week, I felt like shit. Everything seems wrong and I was feeling annoyed most of the time. Well, at least that did not last for long coz everything turned up side down this week.

Have you ever felt so happy at some point of your life and then everything just starts to crumble and tear apart.. Or have you every laughed so much and so hard that your stomach hurts and you started tearing and the next moment you'll be all sad and feel like crying?

Out of frustration, i went to with my high school friends at Pavilion.

Yes, I do love Kay-Elle. =D

I had this Chocolate Waffle with Vanilla Ice cream at The Chocolate Lounge. It was so-so lah. I've tasted better waffles. The strawberries are awesome. Overall, I tink that the presentation of the food looks good but the taste of it? Not really.

We watched Obsessed starring Ali Larter and Beyonce Knowles and Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince. Comparing these two movies, Obsessed was much better on the whole. HP was kinda draggy and the fact that they can't squeeze the whole book in one movie. It's understandable.

We had Nando's for dinner. =D

I love Garlic sauce. =D

you know, every time my friend and I eat at Nando's we always have the tendency to torture the waiter/waitress with the product knowledge and request for more basting sauce as not many people know what the hell is basting sauce.

We had fun and as usual we went home late.

My class has a new General Paper from this week onwards. Some of my classmates were kinda sad coz we're getting a new teacher. From my experience, when we have a new teacher things are gonna change. Its either for the better or worse. This time, we have a better one. =D For that, I don't feel sad anymore. Our new GP teacher is so professional and yet so much fun. Now, I am always looking forward for her next class. The sad part is now that next week, I gotta miss 2 hours of her class. =(

I got almost all my assessment results. This is the reason why I felt all emo last week. Some I did good but the others are just... not up to my expectations.

On Wednesday, I was at the CIT Centre with Mei Yean in college with time to kill from 2-3pm until the next class. Out of no where,I got a phone call from the boyfriend.

I was quite surprised when he called me at this hour. ahahaha.. Wait wait.. That's not the main surprise. =DD We had a small talk and then came the surprise...

"Denise... What time you finish your class today??"
and I said, "I finish at 4 today. Whyyyyy???"
He said, "I finish early today and I'm going to your college later to fetch you home"

I was black for a second. The next thing I knew my heart was jumping in excitement but I couldn't express myself coz I was in a room filled with people and the room was quiet. Mei Yean who was sitting beside me was already wondering what was it all about. XD

"Really??? =D Ahhhhhh!!! This is the surprise you were hiding from me!"
"Hahahaha.. Yeah!! Surprise!!"
"You do know where is my college right??
"Yeahh... you told me before.."
"Are you sure"
"I'm sureee...."
"ahahahaha... okay. wahhh.. see.. someone got a P license already"
"yea la.... what to do.. =P I'll see you soon alright!"

I told Mei Yean and Wye Kik about it and they were curious to know how he looks like.. So, both of them walked out and waited with me. Thank you!!! =D

I was so happy to see the boyfriend again! =DDD Yea la, both of us were so busy with our own things to do that we hardly see each other these days. With him starting his 2nd semester and I just finish my assessment last week and still catching up with my syllabus coz I'm kinda left behind. Anyway, he introduced me to a song that made me laugh even more. The combination of songs are hilarious like chocolate rain, go go power rangers, the numa numa song etc. Some of them made me go awww like a whole new world, let it be, when you say nothing at all etc.. XD We sang along to some of the song that we knew. We couldn't stop smiling and laughing along with the songs! =DD



I don't know how long it took you to drive from your college to mine coz its like from one end to the other plus the traffic jam. It may not be a big thing for some of you but it is for me and I truly appreciate it as it carved a smile in my heart, like you always do.. =)

Later that night, it suddenly crossed my mind that we should do something for Mei Yean's Birthday. So, I quickly buzzed wye kik to discuss what to do. I had a rough idea and we're gonna make it happen. So, the next day in college we asked the guys if they agree and they agreed without hesitation. So, wye kik and I carried out our plan. We head back to Ampang to get Mei yean's Birthday present but couldn't find any. So, we went to KLCC knowing that it is already 5pm and we're gonna be stuck in a traffic jam.

We walked round an round, searched high and low for the perfect birthday present. At the end of the day, we found it! I was admiring at one of the presents we got for her. I was in awed.

We got her a bouquet of flowers!!!! Wye Kik and I we so thrilled.
I can't stop admiring and I couldn't stop saying that I love the the flowers.

Wye Kik cannot came up with this cute idea to take a picture with his one of a kind yellow car with the yellow roses.

AHAHAHAHAHA!! So cute lah..

We can't help it okay..

We took each of the presents home and brought it to college the next day..
In the morning, I already saw mei Yean in class and I was holding the cake with me. I was wondering aiyahh how to hide this so that she wouldn't see it.


So, I used the back door of the class and put the cake behind Shao Wen's seat. I showed up just like every other day and nothing happened. XD It was hard to do as I was worried that she would turn back and see the box of cake.

Wye Kik on the other hand, had to hide the bouquet of flowers in his car and get it after class to surprise her. The whole class sang Happy Birthday for her! Erin gave a kiss on her cheek! XD

Although I'm allergic to flower pollen, I love flowers very much.

He can really sing and draw. Although he may seem quiet the first time I met him but he may not be as quiet as I thought the first time coz maybe he was shy to express himself. Don't worry my friend.. =D You'll get over that with time.

or something like that.. Correct me if I'm wrong. It means that a guy who loves to disturb girls. or something like that. Ahahahaha. I known him since high school and we're classmates up to today.

There are a lot more nicknames for joel. We always tease him coz of his curly hair.
I mean, c'mon how often do you come across a guy with VERY curly hair? XDDD

The first time I noticed about him was his bag. It looks like a shell coz its made of plastic and oh! he also looks like the character in Dragon Ball who has the turtle shell minus out the beard and stick. XDD

Very talkative and loves to say the word "fucked up" XDD
Always has something to joke about and make us laugh. He's the one who nicknamed me Elmo. He said that he's gonna get me an Elmo shirt for my birthday. wth XDD

Mei Yean was carrying the flowers all around college and boy, everyone was staring at her. She was too shy to even look at anyone because of the expression on their faces. Most of them were like, "Woah, look! She got flowers", "eh eh, look at that girl with flowers".

Before lecture class started, Wye Kik and I made a scene that made everyone jaw dropped in the lecture hall. It was all for fun and nothing more. XD

After the last lecture class, All of us wanted to go eat the delicious Pan Mee that Erin was telling us Near Wangsa Maju Station.It was quite good I suppose.. Maybe it's because its spicy. It's not really one of a kind but at least it spiced up my taste buds and filled up my stomach.


You see.... Wye Kik's car is exceptionally unique. Striking yellow and the shape itself is odd. Even Mei Yean also can't help but to take a picture with it. XD

On our way back, Joel was driving infront Wye Kik's car. At the trafic light, wye kik honked at Joel and this is what he replied.
