Happy Independence Day!

to Malaysia. It has been 51 years since our country gained its independence. To be precise its actually 45 years. This is because Malaysia was only named Malaysia in 16 September 1963. Before this it was known as "Tanah Melayu". lol. there, a tiny bit of my knowledge of Malaysian History.

The Malaysian Flag was designed by Mohamed Hamzah, a 29-year-old architect. In 1997, when Malaysians were invited to name the flag and then our former Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad picked the name "Jalur Gemilang" to project the country's onward drive towards continuous growth and success.

This is the flag we sing to every Monday morning or on any special occasions. Before independance, we would be sing "God save the Queen". Now, its "Negaraku"

Currently I'm still being conquered by SPM.
I am now singing that song "Stuck on you by stacie orrice"
After my spm, I shall sing "The Time of My Life by David Cook"
XD

I don't know what to blog about this time. Im just lazing around for a moment since i can't think anymore.lol.

Eishhh... >.<

Lets settle for some German Ferrero Roche?
haha..yesssssss!

This.... taste way better than the normal/typical Ferrero Roche.
Wanna know why?
Because it has another special ingredient added to it. and that special ingredient is milk!
If you love kinder bueno, you'll love this even more! Its just exactly like ferrero roche, just that is smaller in size, more crunchy, more nuts, theres milk and taste waaaay better.
I may not know how to read German but I'm not that dumb to not know that theres milk in it.

I wish I could have more of these *drools* @.@

Anyway, here's something

It takes a big loss to remind us how much we have and how much we should appreciate it while we have it.
Happy Independence Day.

Its 6 a.m
The clock is ringing
I need to spend 5 minutes snoozing.

Doing this everyday (including weekends) is really tiring.
Especially when you only have 4 hours o f sleep almost every night.
My holidays were great and I had lots of fun.
I watched Wall-e. omg! its so cute and touching.
School was alright but I am experiencing serious tension and worried. >.< (how can I not be) Tuition was a bit relaxed. At home is where all my work begins.

Assignments piling up day by day
Studying for exams are days away
Almost everyday I have a busy day
makes me feel like dying away.(im just joking abt this)

You know what, I think history is repeating itself. Just that, this time I know it. Before this I was dumb enough to not notice it. Goshh.... and No, i don't think whats happening now its a bad thing. Its just that.... I'm don't want it now.

here I am now. 3 am. doing my add maths project. trying to finish it up.
and guess what?? I'm on youtube!!! go find out if you want.

XD I want cendol now. and I seriously need to cut down eating.

My friends kept saying I am fat. Hey, I know I gain a few kg's alright but I don't think till the extend that I'm fat.

My dance instructor told me that I look more fleshy now. and asked me to dance more to lose a little weight. =.=" lol........... once upon a time he told me to gain a little weight.

My aunty said I look better now. "wahh deniseee.... you look better now la... gain weight izzit??" XD

My cousins said "ei, you gain weight already ar?"
I said, "yeah.. why?? do i look fat??"
They said "NO LAH!! you know what is fat or not??"

Well, those are the comments I remember. I don't know which to believe. But, as far as I know... I'm happy and I enjoy eating. =)

Before I go any further, I was in Batu Pahat, Johor from Tuesday to Friday.
I went back to my grandmother's place because my mum wanted to perm her hair there.
Initially, I did not plan to go but I change my mind at the very last minute which was on Tuesday morning.
The reason why I didn't wanna go is because of all the extra classes in school and tuition, dentist appointment and dance class. (I missed all of them anyway=.=")
But, I changed my mind because I don't want to be at home alone and I wanna have some fun.

My mum drove my dad's Honda City at the speed of 160km/h. XD i like it.
If it was my dad, the highest he would go is 100 or 110 km/h.

Halfway on the road, Mitchell( my cousin's boyfriend) took over. on our way back, you know la.... kampung road, one lane only. So, if there 1 car who drove damn bloody show, the other cars behind it will also slow down. Its worse if it is a lorry or a bus.
But what is even worse is that a CAR that drives like a tortoise. eiiishh... Taking their own sweet time.

ok.. enough of that. now, its food time.

My grandmother's house is situated 16 km from the nearest town which is Batu Pahat.
There are tons of food to choose from just like Penang.
The best would be The Cendol at Jalan Enggan.

This picture is taken from here.
I've been there a couple of times. They serve the best cendol ever!

Next, would be Sambal Stingray.
damn.... i love it so much that I could die. The sambal is really spicy, sweet and you could probably taste a little bit of sourness.

3rd on my list would be Bubble Tea.
Buy one and you get one free at the price of rm3.50. gosh.. I don't know how to describe it but, this drink is good enough to keep me quiet until I finish it till the very last drop.

Thats my top 3 list of food. The others are delicious but most probably I would forget them after awhile.

Besides pampering myself with food, I still make some time to study at least 5 hours a day when I was there.
Watched tv. I've been following some Singaporean shows on singaporeean channels like channel 5 and 8. (yeah, they can receive singapore channel's here)
too bad I can't watch them anymore now. =(

Now, I'm back home. doing my homework and continue to study and go for jogging.
I need to get a new study table light.
will be going to ikea tmr. =)

This could be the start of something big.

I finished reading another great book by Mitch Albom.
Yeah... So far, I've read 2 of his books. Both books are really an eye opener and it made me appreciate every little detail and every little things that revolves around my life.
Everything is connected to each other whether you realise it or not. But somehow or another you'll find out what is it or why.

I was in search for a new book. Hunting them one by one at a book store. It happened when I just finished my tuition on Thursday. it was 6pm. I had some time to spare to go to Ampang Point. Just like every other week, I saw the same old salespeople standing at their stalls handing out pamphlets or promoting their products. Well, there was one particular guy that I notice every time I step foot at the entrance of AP. Well, I realise this after a few times.

Well, this goes on till' today. i kept seeing him everytime i go AP and vice versa. Makes me feel like an idiot going in and out of ampang point so many times in a week. >.< lol.... can't blame me right for living so near? XD

Anyway......... its just another ordinary day after tuition with Vi and Khai Wen. Our usual hangout place would be popular bookstore. Vi would always be looking for a pen to buy or read a book. Khai wen, at the cd section and I would be scanning through the bookshelves for book to read.

Eventually, I found one. Mitch Albom. i've seen this author many time but I was never bothered. The title of the book is "The Five People You Meet in Heaven". That... was my first book I bought from this author.

For every person he meets in heaven, each of them taught him a lesson. Each person he meets played a huge part of his life. How these people changed Eddie's life. All the answer to his questions were answered. "All endings are also beginnings. We just don't know it at the time..."
This book was dedicated to the author's uncle

I would rate this book 4/5

***

The second book I bought from the same author is "For One More Day"

Its about the eternal power of a mother's love. How you wished that you could have the chance to change, to return back and fix what you did wrong in life. This book is dedicated. with love to the author's mother.

This book brought me to tears.. Another beautifully crafted novel. The way he writes the novel.... gosh.... all those words and sentences has the genuine power to stir and comfort me.

I would rate this book 5/5.

not because it brought me to tears.

***

ahh.... I love both of these books! They're different. Different that any other novels. Its not like a love novel that has almost the same story line that you could already predict/know what would happen next. Somehow, it changed my perception about all the things that happened in my life.

Another chapter of has been written and now, here goes another chapter.
I don't know what would be written next but one thing is for sure, it would be a memorable one.
It may not be written down in words but It would always be the memories I would treasure whether it is good or bad. Life would never be interesting without having up and downs or.. thick and thin... It can't always be sugar, spice and everything nice. Sometimes, I wanna say something but I can't.

That why.... whenever I'm down or sad, I would always look at this...

How can I not smile looking at it???

Randomness...

I just uploaded a new song. How did I fall in love with you by Yao Si Ting.

Theres so much to blog about now. But, I'll choose one anyway. its 7.59a.m now and I just woke up from sleep. I am currently at my aunty's place at Selayang. Well, initially, I never plan to be here. Yesterday was a great day for me and also for our school. =)

We won the I-challange Competition at INTI College, Subang Jaya. It was one great experience. There were 8 teams in the finals and our school is one of them. We had 2 teams and we're the only school with 2 teams in the finals. So, the chances of winning is quite high. Our school manage to snatched the 1st prize. RM48000 scholarship to INTI college, RM3000, A DELL computer and a hamper. XDXD

We beat 6 other schools which are

SMK Sultan Abu Bakar, SMJK Poi Lam, SMK Taman SEA, SMK Seksyen 18, SMK St Paul and... 1 more i cant remember.

It was extremely windy there heaven knows why. We were at INTI on Friday too for rehearsal. 17 of us went there by 5 cars. We ate at the food court situated just right in front of INTI. Hmmm... I like the atmosphere around that area. Taylor's College is just beside INTI, starbucks, food, mcd, lol..

After INTI, we went back to school. I went home and my mum called me to ask whether I wan to join her with my aunties shopping.. Initially, I declined but somehow or another I joined them. Met them at Tony Roma's eating lunch. I was surprised to see my cousin who came back from Germany for holidays and also her boyfriend. XD I couldn't recognise him at all as I never seen him for 3 years already.. I thought he was some Korean dude who is my cousins friend. XD
So, I ordered some salad, ate the leftover ribs that my aunties couldn't finish and plain water. lol.
Then, walked around Pavillion. I was not in the mood to shop AT ALL.

theres one thing that caught my attention. It is when my aunty went to Louis Vouitton at The J.W Marriott Hotel. She wanted to buy a handbag. Everything was nice when I entered. Look very clean(figuratively) and organised. The point is, I don't see why these goods are freaking expensive!! gosh.... Look at it!

I don't see why these bags can cost ranging from RM3000- RM heaven knows how much. Honestly, I have nothing against LV. When I see people walking around with their LV bags, my 1st thought would be, "oh, this might be just another bag from petaling street/chow kit/ where ever" Well, I do admit that 1 or 2 of these bags are quite nice but not worth my money. Unless you're rich and wouldn't mind splurging on it.

ah well, different people have different views. I still love my Braun Buffel though.. hehehe...

ok... I was browsing through my aunty's laptop here and I found some pictures when I was in Bangkok, Thailand.

I like her pictures... =) Very spontaneous.

*drools* Gimme that banana!!!!!!

Almost there...........
I'm just trying to get a shot of it. Its not like you can feed or even see giraffes everyday.
They are really cute creatures. especially the young ones.

After Safari World, we went to The Wax Museum. This is where my camera broke down.

Ho Chi Minh

Buddha and Denise.
and also the selfish begger.

Greed does not pay! Seriously.
According to legend, this happened to the begger for being cunning(in a bad way),
selfish and greedy.

Last but not least, The Ah Kua Show/ Cultural Show.

I find it hard to believe that he.. i mean she... he, she... oh whatever..
is actually a girl. It looked so real!!
>.<>

okaaayyy.... This is really awkward....
I look like a retard here.
This is because he... i mean she!! or he!! grabbed me without even me realising it and snapped
a picture. gosh.. freaky you know...

the last day at the airport.

=)

I seriously need to stop eating a lot. Pizza with cheese all over it, beef ribs, nasi lemak, doughnuts, ice-creams omg....

Lesson of the week : People who throw kisses are hopelessly lazy

i'm sad.

You've just received a message.

I really had a bad day today.
It all begins when I woke up. I was already in a bad mood because of mosquitoes.
and there it goes, my good mood, all the way down into the toilet bowl. =.=

Okay, I always thought school was gonna cheer me up somehow or another.
It turns out, I was feeling worse.

*blink.... blink*

what the......
WTH!!!??!!!!
holy crap!!!!!!

ofcourse, this message did not just appear out of nowhere.
I checked it though the sms service.

okay, I'm not gonna exaggerate on how I reacted on that message. One thing for sure, I was in shock, i start hitting khai wen out of nowhere (which I apologise), reading the msg over and over again and start asking everyone else whether were they chosen.

I don't know whether to classify this as a good news or a bad news as it has its pros and cons. But, I was disturbed by the fact that I was chosen. Out of millions of people.. why me???!?!!?
ughhhh...... Lets think about this on a positive side.

The benefits

Meet more people
Have a larger circle of friends
The experience

The disadvantages (for me)

my plans after spm all goes down the drain.
Stuck at some camp in the middle of nowhere with no phone or internet connection.
food problem
extreme temperatures
extreme activities
extreme tiredness
and most of all, EXTREME DANGER!

you can see the DANGER every year in the newspaper.

NS trainee died of infection
NS trainee got raped
NS trainee died of so called "stomach ache/gastric pain"
NS trainee this and that.

as much as i wanna appear in the newspaper, I would never ever want to appear in the newspaper in this way. they even have a death ratio for this!!! >.<

btw, 6 of us in my class were chosen too and I am one of them.
Not just that!! I am the only girl in my class who was chosen!!! >.<
how convenient is that... lol.

Anyway, I better stop here...

hell.........................

tagg

As you know, this year's Olympic Games is hosted by..

yes, China.

This time, The Olympic Games really got the attention of the Media. XD
Why not? With all the marvelous and spectacular designs of the stadiums.
They are..

The Birds Nest

Officially, it is Beijing's National Stadium.
Unofficially it is called the birds nest. This magnificent bird's nest didn't come cheaply.
The construction costs were a staggering $550 million. holy crap...

The Egg

It is The National Centre of Performing arts.
It has one of the largest theater lobbies.
The anteroom to an opera house holds up to 2079 seats, a concert hall seating 1858 and a theater for 957 more.
lol.... wht is with all the odd numbers..

The twisted Doughnut

also knows as The CCTV Headquarters.
Rising 54 storeys and looping in on itself. Its the world's second largest office building behind The Pentagon.

last but not least,

The Water Cube

It is The National Aquatic Centre.
i like the colour.. hehe.
Theres so much to say about this magnificent monument.
The LED lights, The walls and ceiling made of 4000 inflated blue polymer pillows with a skin only eight one-thoudsandth of an inch thick which are stronger than steel or concrete, greenhouse effects and i dont know anymore. XD
Cost a bomb too. more than $140 million.

Okaay, I missed the Opening Ceremony Of The Beijing Olympics because I had tuition at the same time. =.="

What to do..

Even though The olympics is once every 4 years, but SPM is one in a lifetime!

Besides, I'm sure theres a re-run for it. However, I manage to watch some parts of it.
my gawd. It was too good to be true ! lol...

Such wonderful technological innovation, the lightings!, performances, synchronisation, gahhh.... too many to list them down. But whatever it is, I don't think any other country could do it better than this. Every little detail of it is planned out perfectly and systematically.
thumbs up for them!

Although there was some controversies about the torch designs. =.="

Anyway, I'm suire the citizen of Beijing wil enjoy all the new architectural marvels for decades to come and share them proudly with visitors from all over the world.

ok... now, its m.lyn's tag!

which team are you supporting for the grand Olympics 2008?
malaysia ofcourse and.... it depends.

which shirt design do you like most ?
elegant, young, sporty, feminine

why?
Because I think it fits well with my style and personality.

Who would you like to meet and get his/her autograph if you're given a chance to meet them?
lets see... michael buble. =)

Will your favourite team(s) be an overall winner for the grand olympics 2008?
China
hmmm... quite hard to say for now.
but obviously, the answer would be china. XD

i'll tag :

I want it that way!

It’s all, it’s all, it’s all

You’re my sunshine after the rain
You’re the cure against my fear and my pain
Cuz I’m losing my mind when you’re not around
It’s all,it’s all
It’s all because of you

You’re my sunshine
Oh yeah...

Baby I really know by now
Since we met that day
You showed me the way
I felt it then you gave me love
I can’t describe
How much I feel for you

I said baby I should have known by now
Should have been right there
Whenever you gave me love
And if only you were here
I’ll tell you, yes I’ll tell you

*

I *heart* this song now. hehehe.
Title : Because of You
By : 98 degrees.

I've been listening to a lot of songs that used to be very popular back in the 90's.
like backstreet boys, westlife, savage garden, christina aguilera, etctec.

I listen to all those songs when I was 6.
Till' today, I still love some of the songs.
Like, savage garden's songs.

ok...here's another video I found on youtube although I watched this before years ago.

anyway... i'm waiting for my school uniform to dry since my washing machine is not working.
So, I've been washing all my clothes on my own for a week already.
Really tiring and time consuming. Especially if you got other things to worry about.

lalala....

Why is The Rum Gone??

Do watch this video. =) hilarious!

I stumbled across this video while searching for some inspiration for our school drama. Obviously, this video I found doesn't help for the play except making me laugh. XD

I can't get my head off a few songs. hehehe.

Currently, I have 98 more days to go before doom's day.

SPM.

Approximately less than a month before trials SPM. >.<
the stress is building up. That is why I'm having fever again. ughh.... at least I'm feeling much much better today. But, it left me a souvenir. runny nose.

I've been doing a lot of thinking lately.
I read a lot lately. I have no idea why of all the sudden I have such enthusiasm to read.
Read as in reading novels(70%) and school books. gosh...

Lesson of the week:

You can either be a mummy's girl or a daddy's girl.
But you can't be both.
So, you cling to the one you think you might lose.

Its just an analogy. It applies to other aspects of life.

Saturday, 2 August 2008

For the past 2 weeks. a tiny or fat/ skinny creature has been nibbling the food around my house.

Jacob's biscuits (4)
Leftover fried rice
a piece of chicken
Kinder Bueno chocolate bar
kitchen cabinet door (wood)

I have not seen any sight of this creature. Not even a sound from it at all.
But, I suspect it must be a rat. A fat rat with sophisticated taste for food.
You see, how smart rats are?? All of us at home couldn't even find where is it hiding! till today. Rats adapt really well in our society. Not just rats. Ants, lizards, birds, insects, etc.
Heaven knows what else would the rat in my house would eat next? my shoes? lol.

So, my dad brought home a rat trap. The bait was a piece of meat. 2 days later, the meat was gone! But, no rat. =.="

I told my mum to call for an exterminator or something. >.< but she wasn't bothered to hear me out. or maybe i should put some kind of super glue on a piece of card board and a piece of food in the middle of it.

oh wait! I should watch Tom and Jerry! maybe that would help?
although, i love jerry.
When I was younger, I always ask why can't Tom just leave jerry alone!
Now, I understand why.

Anyway, Any idea how to catch this rat??

it ate my kinder bueno! grrrr.....

On thursday, I just did the hardest mathematics test ever! @.@
I was sitting for Australian Mathematics test.
I only know how to answer 14 question confidently out of 30 questions.
That is with no help of my dear friend, pinky the calculator.
well, calculator are prohibited for this test.
and there was no need to use the calculator too. The questions were testing more on your IQ and your ability to solve probability problems.

I felt like i lost a part of me while doing that test.
I have to resist my finger on pressing on something.
I was so dependent on the calculator. >.<

another brain block test. Even the smartest dude in my class could answer all the questions.
ah well, its over anyway.

***

You know... I can't stand my mum nagging all day at home.. Seriously la. its taking its toll on me.
Every single day i have to hear her nagging. nag nag and nag.
Enough said in school. At least in school isn't so bad.

To be honest, sometimes I don't even wanna be at home. I prefer spending my time outside from home.
and Thats what I'm doing now. Spending 15 hours of my day away from home. Whether in school or tuition or reading a book at the bookstore.

home doesn't feel like home anymore. she kept scolding and scolding and scolding on what to do around the house. Makes me feel sick to even help around the house. Even if i did help around the house, she will still complain.

ugh. im out from here. I can't even sit on the computer for awhile just to surf the net.

=)

It turns out, I was feeling worse.

.................................................
*blink.... blink*

what the......

XD

i'll tag :
Ji Mi
Joon Hong
Xajin
wai min
kok siang

Anyway, Any idea how to catch this rat??

it ate my kinder bueno! grrrr.....

***
