What I did Today?

Today, I spent my time with my Daddy at Delifrance for breakfast. Just the two of us. We talked and talked. =D I really love it. We had scrabled eggs, croissant and tea at Great Eastern Mall.Then, he dropped me at KLCC after that because I wanted to buy some books to read.

After about 1 hour browsing through the book, I bought 3 novels. I couldn't wait to get home to read it. =D Now, I have the enthusiasm to gather all my book from every corner of my room and arrange it nicely.

Today, My alarm clock died on me. That god I woke up at the right time ie. 8.30 a.m. I had only 4 hours of sleep. I was up all night chatting again. XD I was a little emotional. I don't know why. Nothing big, really. A godmother? Whoa...

Anyway, my alarm clock died on me and my phone also died on me.

My phone went all bank this morning and I panicked.

omg omg omg omg, what to do.....????
Crap....

My daddy told me that my phone is freezing cold because it is the air-cond room and can't stand the low temperature.

I was like.. "Whaaatt??? You must be joking.... It has been in an air cond room for as long as I can remember.."

Then, my dad asked me to use the hair dryer to warm up my phone and that I thought was quite ridiculous. I was kinda upset because I thought my phone is dead for good. So, I gave it a try.

It worked. LOL. A part of my was happy that I still can use it but another part of me felt a little disappointed because I thought I could get a brand new phone. HAHA.

I had my first phone when I was Thirteen. I bet most of you have it way younger than 13. Like my sister who got her first phone when she was 11? My first phone was a Nokia 3310. Damn classic, I know. UP till today, I still have it. Somewhere.....

When I was in Form 2, I bought a brand new phone. Nokia 6610i. I gave my 3310 that was passed down by my dad to me and it was my turn to pass it down to Ellise. Back then, my phone was consider the "latest phone". Cheh..

I was so overwhelmed by the functions. I can take pictures, MMS, keep more smgs and all of it are in colour! I still have so many picture that I've taken like 3 years ago. Tak sampai hati to delete it lar..

After all these years using my 6610, never once it failed me.

Sometimes, I wake up late because I turn you off.
Sometimes, I am so careless that I slipped you through my hands that you fell and broke.
Once, I accidentally dropped you in a pail of detergent water and I thought I was gonna lose you. You revived and damn, I was so relieved.
Once, I was so lazy to put my phone on my bed that I threw you and "BANG!!!". Instead of landing on my bouncy mattress, you hit the wall hard and landed on my paraquat floor.
A few times, I think abt almost 2 years ago I threw you away because I was angry and sad. Sorry for that.
Sometimes, I wonder how my life would be without you?
You keep all my messages, my call logs and pictures.
Sometimes, I think you're so lucky to have such a nice owner like me. =D

Coz, if you were in the hands of others, You'll be gone long ago. hahaha. OMG. I'm talking like a mad woman.

I truly madly deeply love my phone. Although you're now 4 years old, you still look the same the moment I laid my eyes on you.

Same as Always. =)

Movie?

I just watched Slumdog Millionaire.

My heart ached while watching it.

My throat felt so heavy and I was gonna walk out of the cinema right at that moment.

I could not bear watching it yet at the same time, I want to know how it ends.

This movie is the best movie I've ever watched so far in my 17 years.

I don't know which word to pick from to describe this movie until you watch it yourself. Touching. Bitter. Torture. Heaven. Gratitude. Brilliant. Genius. Brutal. Heartbreaking. Love. Sacrifice. gosh...

This movie is a million times better than the Benjamin Button movie.

oh dear... Now, I am asking myself, WHY THE HELL DIDN'T I GET THAT BOOK MONTHS EARLIER?!?!?!?!!! Slumpdog Millionaire is from the novel "Q & A" by Vikas Swarup. Arrrrghhh!!!!! I should've bought that book last year!!!!!! I knew it was a good book but... Never mind... I'm gonna get it anyway one way or another.

I like the main character in that movie. He obviously can dance ballroom. XD!!

So, go watch it. =)

This movie was nominated and won 3 awards for Best Films such as The Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards and BAFTA Awards. Well, this movie won a lot of awards. Check this out.

anyway, push that aside... I'm starting to taste a sip what its like in the REAL world.. Its so complex and... ugh.. I need to sleep.

Unexplained fever?

About 23 hours ago, I was having high fever. My forehead and neck was as warm as boiling water. It was so warm that I shivered for like half an hour. I felt so cold like I was about to die of frostbite. But then again, its all about Homeostasis (To maintain a stable internal environment of the body) or otherwise knows as Negative Feedback. I force and dragged myself out of bed to take a dose of panadol. I slept in the living room for an hour and when I felt a little better, I went back to my room to sleep.

I was wondering what in the world is wrong with me? So many things were running through my mind. I dreamt about something. I forgot what was it about but if definitely made me feel so much better. Whatever the dream was, I stopped shivering. Thank you for being there when I needed the most. I never thought that you'd still be there. Oh dear.... *frowns*

In the morning, I woke up as usual for work. I thought I couldn't make it to work. I touched my forehead.

Why is it not warm? Am I okay? Wait, I thought I was having high fever? What the..... *touches my forehead again* Holy crap. How did I recover so fast??
Okay..... What on earth is wrong with me??

My mum was so surprised that I was alright. I don't know what happened and what is it supposed to mean but I am a 100% sure that this is real.

Ugh. I can't seem to express how I truly feel. I can't seem to find the right word for it. Maybe there's one word to describe it for now. Confused. I think I am confused with myself. How odd is that? I don't know why am I blogging everyday? Nothing better to do? Yeah... Probably not.

Randomness II

I finished "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Klaled Hosseini. He has a natural talent for expressing
every emotions and the minute details of everything. Its almost effortless. I was almost in tears reading both of his books. Every time I was about to shed my tears, something will distract my attention.

The first book I read was Kite Runner and I was reading it in office all through until I finish the last sentence. Every time I was about to cry, I was awakened by the ring tone of my customers calling to place their orders. I had to suck it all up and I can't be crying while talking to the customers right??

Ah well, I hope he is publishing a new novel. Pleaseeee!!

Now, I'm on a hunt again for fresh meat! Muahahaha! However, I'm actually trying to save money. I've tried secondhand bookshops but I can't get what I want. =(

For the past few days, I've been experiencing some headaches and dizziness. Its been a long time since I have headaches. ugh. Maybe I don't have enough sleep. I keep waking up late for work especially in the morning.

My emotions are easily swayed these few days. Thank you, Hormones.

I seriously can't stand the sight of smokers. I detest them right to the core! ugh. Public nuisance. Today, I came home smelling like a burnt chicken. ugh! Who on earth smokes in a car, you tell me??!?!? Your whole car will stink like FOREVER. No wonder I woke up a few hours ago feeling so sick and my body was aching everywhere especially my joints.

If you wanna smoke, smoke far far away and NOT IN A FREAKING CAR!!!! Its like a chamber of death. Mild torture. You wanna die in a car ar??!?! Imagine carbon monoxide filling up your car and you can't escape from your car. It may seem petty but people actually die from suffocation. omg. I really felt like I was gonna pass out in the car.

I need to sleep soon.

About 2 days ago, I has Sakae Sushi at KLCC. OMG! I love their Salmon Sashimi! I'm not sure whether its the best Salmon I"ve ever tasted but I love it.! =DD I love their tea too! Its green tea brew with brown rice. I'm not sure where can I get it. Maybe Isetan?

Oh oh oh!!! I got a new set of computer! My mummy bought a Desktop Computer. HP Pavilion. It comes together with a mouse and keyboard. how cool is that? My old computer is creating lotsa problems like :

Its 6 years old!

The main problem will be the loose connection that drives all of us nuts. sometimes, we can't even on the computer because the connection was loose. So, my mum made up her mind to buy a new one. So, here I am using my brand new CPU. I like it. Windows Vista. My keyboard is so smooth and soft. Its like using a laptop. I am still trying to familiarise my fingers with this new texture. My fingers tend to slip once in a while. The mouse... well, its just an ordinary mouse. nothing special.

I still don't have any pictures in my computer now. I lost most of my pictures from my ex-CPU. My mum re-formatted me ex-CPU and use it as a backup in case she neeeds it.

25 Random Things About Denise?

Since I was tagged by a few people on Facebook, I might as well post it up here. So call an update la. XD I'm saving my real post for another day because I don't have any pictures in my NEW computer now. hehehehe. Everything is random and it's all I can think of. Nothing special but at least I'm at ease now coz I manage to post up an entry.

1. I eat a lot for an average girl until my friends calls me a food freak.
I have the tendency to munch on something every hour.

2. I get to eat Nando's Chicken with extra basting sauce for free everyday.

3. I am phobia of loud sounds. Its not that bad but I just feel quite uneasy especially the sound of bursting balloons.
I can't stare at fireworks without blinking.

4. I tied myself on a chair before so that I can concentrate on studying for SPM and not walking around the house every 15 minutes.
Well, I love to take breaks in between while studying. I have to do something right???!! I got over it after awhile.

5. I am a Nike addict. I have Nike shoes, bottles, bags, pants, shirt,and wristbands.

6. Altho my memory is quite good but I can't seem to register the names of new people but I can remember their faces.

7. I love to read. Now, get me a great book to read! Anything except Physics books.

8. I gained a whopping 7 kg in 6 months and I am still trying to figure out how on earth did I do that.

9. I love Coffee Bean way better than Starbucks. =X

10. I was diagnosed with a syndrome called "The Snapping-Hip Syndrome". I sort of (i dunno how) sprained my hip bone and the doctor couldn't figure out what is wrong with me. Sweat.

11. I have a new favourite colour. Purple.
Why? I don't know - another vague answer.

12. I accidentally dropped a chunk on Baskin Robins ice cream last year. It was really sad okay and I barely tasted it at all.
Shit la, I'll never ever forget this. Since that day, I never bought ice cream again. My friends also laughed at me.

13. I always have the thought of shaving my head bald. I have long hair all my life. I just wonder how will I look like? An egg?
Ohh!! I just trimmed my fringe! Its so short now. =/

14. I hate smokers. Stay 5m radius away from me!!!

15. I realised that I actually love home-cooked food.
I wonder who doesn't?

16. I can't seem to follow tv drama's if it is more than 1 season.
For example, Lost, Heroes, Ghost Whisperer, Super natural, Grey's Anatomy, The O.C, etc. I think I know who has it. teeheehee.

17. I have a weird plant that keeps dying and then grow back again. I like it that way. Its unique or is it normal?

18. I hate being under extreme bright lights. It hurts my eyes.
I have high astigmatism. I'll have headaches if the light is too bright.

19. I'm good at wrapping gifts, making present ribbons, cards and similar things. I'm not so good back then but I'm quite good at it now.

20. I only have 5 pairs of shoes. One of them is my school shoes. I hardly ever buy new shoes.

21. I don't have slippers right now coz I snapped the strings(whatever you called it) and I had to "steal" one side of the slipper from someone to go home. Don't worry, I secretly returned it. XD I am quite reluctant to buy a new one. I just wear whatever I can get.

22. I love to sleep.

23. I can't speak Chinese but I understand Chinese. (Mandarin, Cantonese and Hokkien)

24. I love bread.
Basically, I love carb. (Carbohydrates)

25. I received approximately 50 calls and made at least 150 calls a day.

I hate it

When people can't take care of their pets.

I'm not an animal lover but I love their company from time to time. Maybe it's because my mum hates pets and I'm not allowed to keep any pets with fur. Another thing is that I am also allergic to animal fur. Anyway..... Every morning on my way to work, I realise that there will be 2 small cups with food and water. Well, I was quite bothered by the fact that cats will be wandering all over my place since there's cat food. True enough, there's this cat that keeps on moaning and meowing when I step out of my house for work and when I am back home from work. It keeps on scratching on my door, sneak into my balcony and front door. What's worse is when I found out that that cat belongs to my neighbour upstairs.

They adopted a cat from SPCA recently. I don't really know what happen but it seems that the uncle upstairs hates cats and his wife had to put it outside. So, I was really annoyed and went upstairs with the cat. The cat was unbelievably adorable and attached. I wasn't sure whether the story was true, so I asked her..

"Auntie, is this your cat??"

*cat runs into the house*

"yeah, yeah, yeah! it is... Its not supposed to stay inside because uncle don't want it."

"Ohh.."

she quickly ordered her son to grab the cat. As she was picking up the cat, I told her off.

"Aunty, why adopt a cat if you have to put it outside. Why don't you just return it back?! It has been coming in and out of my house through the front door and balcony. It also makes a lot of noise."

"yeah la, I'm going to return it tmr."

"Yeah. Return it back lah if you can't take care of it."

She quickly took the cat downstairs and put it some where.

I really pity the cat. Idiotic people. Want to put it outside then better don't adopt it lah!! Then why do you think that SPCA Organisation exist?!?! For stray/orphan animals la that have nowhere to go!! Secondly, why even bother adopting a pet if you don't have the approval of every family member???!!!

There are more than enough of stay cats/dog in Kuala Lumpur already. So, don't bother rubbing salt into the wound. Such heartless creatures, human beings can be.

If I ever see that poor little cat wandering around here ever again, I seriously gonna do something about this. Tomorrow is my off day, so I can go make a report for animal abuse and bring that cat along with me. I don't think that cat deserves any of this.

Don't take care of animals if you can't take full responsibility on it.
If you can't shower your pet with love and fulfil their every needs just like your own child, then don't even bother thinking of having any pets.

Book Lover.

I am almost done reading "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini. Spectacular novel! It will be out in theaters soon. So, for those who are so lazy to read I think this movie is gonna be a fatastic movie that you wouldn't regret watching it. Thank You, Ji Mi for the lovely present! I love it.

About 3 nights ago, I went for a movie at Pavilion. It was 1.25am. I was so exhausted that I slept halfway through the movie. Sleeping in the cinema is something I will never ever do. Boring movie maybe?

Anyway..... Talk about novels, I love to read. I love to read but I'm not really good at writing a fiction story as it requires a lot of imagination. Back in school, I always wander off the topic for being too emotional in my essays but somehow I manage to stay within the boundaries of the topic.

I love reading novels with no pictures in it. It gives the chance to create my very own picture of the whole scenario. I don't mind reading in small prints until you need a magnifying glass. (maybe that is why I am wearing glasses?) I don't give a damn how thick the book is as longs as it keeps me wanting for more.

Everywhere I go, I'll definitely bring a novel with me. Whether I read it or not that's another thing. Nowadays, I read while working. Sometimes, I get too carried away that I forgot what to say to my customers.

I'll be reading "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Klaled Hosseini, Stephanie Mayer's trilogy (I know I'm outdated but who cares) and Inkheart trilogy after the current book I'm reading.

Now that I have so many novels at home, I don't have a place to put them in order. I don't have a special place to keep them. I end up stacking every novel according to sizes then the author's name at every corner of my room.

My mum always nag at me about my books being all over the place. "Wait lah.... I'll clean it later", I said to her. She will be nagging continuously and by that time, I am already on mute as I know what she is gonna say. Wait lah.... Next time if I have my own house, I will have one special room dedicated for all my books. Dark Wooden shelves Like the ones In Inkheart, the movie. A broad glass window allowing the sunlight to brighten up the room and also white with violet curtains. The floor will be made from solid white Oak/Maple instead of Marble. I prefer walking on warm surfaces. A 3 seat sofa with 5 pillows and a blankets near the window. The most important thins will be the lighting's. The ambiance should be warm and peaceful. Then maybe she wouldn't nag at me. =D

I have a habit of keeping my books in excellent condition. I don't know whether am I the only one who feels this way. I hate people folding the whole page as a bookmark. I don't mind having a small fold on the edge but NOT THE WHOLE PAGE! I hate having beverages/ food spilled onto my novels. I really don't like people opening the book so wide that it soften the book. I don't mind if it is hardback cover but not paperback cover. I can't stand the sight of my front page cover being folded/damaged at the edge/sides.

I hate people who borrow my novels and not returning them until I ask for it so many times. Come on lah, have some courtesy to the owner of the book. I don't just read it one time you know. I read all my novels at least 2 times. If you're not reading it then you should just return it back. I don't deserve to beg/keep asking people to return my book. I work hard to buy my own novels using my school pocket money. I starve in school just to save enough cash to buy a novel.

(ok la, I did not actually starve in school but I just don't use my school money to buy food unless I really need it. I usually bring my own food to school)

I am a regular customer at Kinokuniya, KLCC. I can spend 6 hours reading(if I have a place to sit) reading and end up not buying the novel because I already finish reading it. XDXD =D I have 6 discount cards, 3 for 25% and the other 3 for 15% that I totally forgot to use. Now, I am so freaking pissed at myself for not using all of it I magine how much I could save!!!!!!

Maybe it wasn't meant to be. =( Its ok.

Of all the books I've read, I find some books quite irritating. For example, The Secret By Rhonda Byrne. Its a reallt effective book but poisonous at times. I believed it and it actually works! Sometimes, it it benefits me but other times, it is just disappointing and frustrating. I only read like half of the book because I was tired of the repetition.

Anyway, enough of books.

I heard that one of the question in out Paper 2 in Section B/C has a question error and it seems that they are giving a bonus??? I'm not too sure. XD

Almost everyone is coughing at my work place!! I wonder who did I got it from. *Evil stare* grrrrr....

Some things are just so random that you can never see it coming. Oh my..... what have i done...

I ask random questions that some people think I'm weird.
I give them random answers where most of it can be really specific or vague.

Maybe I'm just tired. Really tired. ughh...

Nail Fetish

I love nail polish. I always wanted polish my nails but I always have to remove them because of school. Back in the years when I was still in school, I always get caught for having long nails. Okay la. Honestly, I don't really like my nails being so short that I can't pick up a 10 sen coin on a table. Its painful alright.

I cut my finger nails in a curved shape and not straight. Most people I know cut their nails straight. Ah well, I like mine curved. I know some guys don't like girls with nail polish because they think that they are too girlish. Girls will be girls. Polish your nails while you're still young. Coz, when you're old, it looks quite odd la. I don't mean that you can't put nail polish but... aiya, you get what I mean right?

When I was at my grandmother's place at Johor, my granduncle married again with a Vietnamese lady. His late wife passed away due to cancer i think? Well, a lot of speculations about her here and there. She was very pleasant. She's an expert when it comes to nail polish. She does manicure, pedicure and whatever stuffs that is related to it la, you can name it.

I got a small collection of nail polish colours. Some of them are just... well.. you can call it ridiculous. Like striking green. Maybe if you're dressing as THE HULK on a costume party/Halloween Yellow is.... yellow..

This is only the first coating. Imagine how a double coating will turn out. haha! I guess I'll save this for Halloween this year. wakakaka.

The toughest colours to do is the pastel colours like white, yellow, blue and light purple. The smudge so easily. At least the other colours are not so obvious. For pastel colours, I usually put double coating. Single coating is so ugly.

It took me quite a while to polish my skills. Some people ask me to do it for them. haha.
I would love too thought I'm not an expert and neither very good at it.

Base coating is always important.

Chinese New Year!

I always love Chinese New Year. I love the bright red decorations everywhere. I love the red packets that comes in all shapes, sizes and the designs on it are creative. I love the feeling of meeting up with all my family members. Every year, my family and I would drive down to Batu Pahat, Johor. My mum has 4 sisters and 2 brothers. All of them will reunite once every year to celebrate CNY and spend some quality time doing things together. My dad family livis in KL. So, we can just drop by anytime we want. hehe.

I love the clear blue sky with the classic coconut tree.

This year, there are more kids around the house. They would mess up the house with papers, colour pencils and food wrappers. All of them are girls and also one baby boy. I watched them play and laugh together. Sometimes, they might just end up crying for some teeney weeney thing. It reminds me of how my cousins and I used to be when we were younger.

I went to Batu Pahat Town for my usual Cendol store which is like dirt cheap and yet so ever delicious. Batu Pahat is nothing like KL. People there drive too slow. Well, not all but most. There are quite a number of shopping malls. I dunno much about it. I went out with my cousin, Yvjane and Keruey and also Elle to BP Mall for movie, Inkheart and bowling. It was alright. I watched Inkheart twice. Love that movie! Anyone who loves to red will definitely love it as much as I do.

I was hoping to get some bubble tea which is also dirt cheap compared to the price in KL. Too bad, most of the shops are closed. I visited my great grandparents and grandparents. It has been almost 5 years since the last time I went to visit them after my late grandmother passed away due to cancer about 5 years ago.

Like every other year, my uncle will host a big party/gathering at his crib. After my grandmother passed away, she left some properties to her dear children and it was shared equally. My uncle got the bungalow house and a few pieces of land and now the house belongs to him. Its not an ordinary bungalow house. It has a rambutan farm behind the house, a garden as big as 5 classrooms, a farm where he grows some chillies, fruits and vege, a huge parking lot which can fit like 7 cars or more and a medium sized fountain with a so called jacuzzi next to it. Nice eh? hehe.

Cars. Not so clear.

My uncle loves gardening. Flowers are everywhere. There are so many vases all around the house. The valuable ones. Oh! He has 2 dogs and a horn bill (It is illegal to keep one). ok la, nuff of that. I was at the party and wow I was enjoying myself. There are lotsa people from god knows where. My cousin, Kelvin and his girlfriend of 9 years, Sabrina came back from Germany and joined us this year.

It was also Ellise and my another cousin, Louis's BIRTHDAY! They share the same birthday which falls on the 2nd day of CNY. We had secret recipe's chocolate strawberry cake. Scrumptious! I ate a lot and was forced to drink a can of beer after turning them down too many time. Finally, I gave in. Eeek! I don't really like beer. I prefer wine.

I tried Black Label's scotch whiskey for the first time. It felt great after one full glass. After my 4th glass, my head was spinning, my face was pinkish red, my face was so warm and I felt like I was gonna vomit. I was struggling to brush my teeth so that I could sleep. It was already 4 am. The Malay neighbour who lived next door were kinda pissed at us for karaoke-ing the whole morning. We were too loud and out of tune. wahahaha! drunk fellas.

I quickly jump into bed as I could walk and stand straight. I slept so well that night. The next night, we had another party again. This time, we have more guests who come and go. More food and definitely more fun! We had fire crackers and fireworks. It wasn't as happening as last year but enough to satisfy our anticipation for the so called big bang to start off the year.

I received way too many msgs and calls. Thank you people!! I got lotsa ang-paus which I haven't open all of them yet. I don't really care how much I get this year, to be honest. Its not all about the money but the formality of the red packets itself. I love spending my time with people who knows how to appreciate my presence and my company.

Job Vacancy : Bodyguard

I shall never walk home along at night ever again. Today, a lady was beheaded at the bridge opposite my housing area and I walk pass it very frequently. Her head was gone and is no where to be found. The victim cannot be identified and her head is missing. Her body was floating on the river very very near my house. read this.

Crap wei. I am so freaked out now. Well, obviously I was not there to watch it la. Her body was found yesterday. A headless Lady. First, it was snatch thieves. Then, scams. Moving on to kidnapping and raping. Now its beheading people??? WTH!?!?!?

I hate people following me to work and back from work. Its FREAKY!!!! Call it stalking. or maybe not. yerrr.... I hate it la...

I should hire a bodyguard to protect me. Any applicants? XD
