Relay For Life KL 2008

For quite some time ago, I went to an event called Relay For Life, Kuala Lumpur 2008.

What is Relay For Life?

Relay For Life is an overnight team event in a carnival-like atmosphere to raise funds for The National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NSCM). Participants have lots of fun as they challenge themselves

Relay For Life has become the world's largest fund raiser, with events held in 23 countries worldwide, including 4000 events in America where it all began in 1985.

Funds raised will be used to increase knowledge about cancer, - its causes, prevention and early detection as well as research for more effective treatment and supportive care for Malaysian impacted by cancer.

The event was held The National Stadium Bukit Jalil.
Well, not exactly In the stadium but somewhere near the national stadium.
It was held at The Majlis Sukan Negara(MSN) Stadium.
I went there with a couple of friends and met some other friends that I knew there.
Lol. I didn't they they're coming. XD
Ofcourse I met new people and made new friends there. XD

On the other hand, it was also The Anti-Tobacco Day.
Yet, I saw oneeee particular guy puffing away. =.="
How contradicting is that.

I hate people who smoke. Being near them already drives me away.
So, whenever I pass by/near people who some = run away. XD

What I did there?
Obviously, I went there for the walk-marathon.
Besides meeting people, eating, laughing, chit-chatting etc.
I started off with a fast-walk for 4 laps as my warm up.
slow jogged for 4 laps.
break.
a real jog for 5 laps.
break
enjoyed myself with all the performances and chi-chatting, laughing
continued for another 6 laps of fast-walk.
Raced with a few people. XD

Met more new people as time flies

Shirley, Kenneth, Jay, Sally, Denise(another denise), Gabriella, Calvin, Muthalib, Justin, Xue Yi, uhhhh..... I can't remember the rest of them. >.<>
As you continue reading, you might wonder why I took these pictures of paper bags with messages on it.

Well, I lost my beloved grandmother to breast/lung cancer 4 years ago.
Seeing her saying goodbye was really heart breaking.
Especially when I stood right beside her as she took her last breath.
I cried really bad before going to sleep.
I remember crying on the phone too.
It was hard for all of us.
She was very healthy.
That memory is still so fresh in my mind.
I'll always miss her. All of us do. Especially my mum.
The following year, I lost my uncle to lung cancer too.
Well, this is obviously because of his smoking habits.

anyway,

I find this somehow odd. Don't you?

Yeap, there have like millions of it.

and all of them are arranged around the side of the running track with candles in it.

>.<>

Sleepyheads

Well, this picture wasn't taken during th event but, I got that t-shirt from the event.

Voila! My running shoes. I think its more of a training shoes.
Extremely light
Very comfortable and flexible
Sometimes, I feel that I'm walking/running barefooted.
well, it cost me bomb too.

Nike Free 7.0

Wheee~! I'll be back next year!
Anyone wanna join me?

It was a great experience. I met not only new friends but also cancer-survivors. They're really nice people. =)
Well, this event did not get much attention from the media.
But whatever it is, the main purpose/objective of this event was successfully accomplished.

Therefore, don't smoke or be around people who smoke.
it will kill you. >.<>

Okaaaay... It seems like it will be a busy week for me. again.
as usual. I'm quite tired actually. >.<
Report card day is on Thursday and this Saturday, my school will be having a so-called carnival day. It seems that its not going really well from the rate of the number of coupons sold and the activities are not exciting.
I was quite reluctant to but the coupons too but I bought them since it was compulsory.
I wish I could do something about this.
Well, everyone is invited!
It will be held in our school from 8am-2pm.

I have to stop eating m&m's everyday. @.@
and I realised that I'm gaining weight.
Well, I guess its normal since I'm eating more than my usual diet.
I have to eat 2 lunch sometimes.

I better get back with my books now.
They're missing me. XD

Old times

Guess what? I found a really really old picture.
It was taken 3 years ago on a farewell get-together for Mrs. Kalai.

All of us look so........
young.

Here are some pictures from our Drama prctice back in 2006.
ahh.. i miss those times.

this was really awkward. and weird. shouldn't he be facing her instead of the door? o.O... hmm..

Drop the flute and this is what you'll get.
and you did dropped it. >.<
ji mi, we all enjoyed ourselves didn't we? =D

This picture looks reaaaaally wrong. >.< but for old time's sake, all of these are memories that can never be erased. hehe.
i have no idea what was vi thinking beck there. or why was his face like that.

=.="'''' two blur guys.

District Champions!

there's one more picture that I want to post but then..... its really weird. >.<
I swore that I will never ever do what I did in that picture ever again.
i was forced to!! >.< thanks to pei jian.

lol.. thats all for now.
Good night! =)

ouchies. I'm in pain. >.<

Here I am, sitting down comfortably. not moving my lower part of my body. finishing my mcd which is my dinner.
X-challenge was FANTASTIC!
Although I fell down on my back and it hurts real bad right now.
you don't wanna know why....
hehe

Feel really tired to blog abt it now.
I slept the whole afternoon and I apologies for not replying all the messages.
Too tired to msg. i prefer calling. its faster and time saving.
Unfortunately, its not cheap. it depends on what line you use.

>.< i have extra class in school tmr.
im too tired..... could we have a break this weekend????
i know the answer would still be a NO.

anyway, I'm watching the movie "Take The Lead"
I like some of the dance moves in this movie.
Tango, cha-cha, salsa, waltz and other similar dances. oh ya. some hip hop too.
bye!

Some things just don't work out the way I want.
Well, not that anything bad happened to me up to today la.
It just that there are a few things I'm trying to avoid for now.
I'm not blaming anyone for this. Well, if it happens then it happens.
and for whatever reasons, I don't regret it.

Sometimes, all i want is to feel emotionless for a while.
To be numb and not feel anything for just a moment.
Some people just don't understand.
and I don't understand people sometimes.
I can't put a smile on my face and be happy all the time.
Its tiring.

I find it really hard to trust anyone now.
Trusts are meant to be broken?
Same thing goes to Rules are meant to be broken?

I completely understand it now.
So, I'm just being cool now.

No worries.
Relax and enjoy the ride.

X-Challange

I wonder, why X? It sounds nice?
haha!

Today, The Science and Mathematics society is organising an even called "The X-Challange".
Venue : Our very own school
Time : After school from 1.30pm onwards.

So, our class (all 20 of us) were in charge of it since its our last year of school. XD
We were divided into 5 groups each consisting of 4 members.
We completely miss all classes for today as we need time to prepare our things.
We got everything we need and it was all set.

As for my group, we are using 2 mini kiddies swimming pool.
The only problem we had was filling it with water.
It took us 1 hour to fill ONE pool. >.<
So, to speed up things, each of us took a bucket/pail and fill it with water.

its 1.20pm. The atmosphere was gloomy and dull.
oh dear. this doesn't look good.
It was drizzling. It rained.
Heavily.
Well, one thing for sure, the rain did helped us fill up the pool.

What what is the use if the whole event was postponed?!!!??
the rain did not stop. everything was cancelled and postponed to Friday morning.
omg........ after all the hard work.

Disappointed and having the feeling of "wth??!"
One of us decided to jump into the pool.

The boys, as usual. being crazy and hyper at the same time were trying to puch each other into the pool so that aaaallllll of us are WET.
The height of the pool is below your knees. well, hehehe...
Considering that it was still raining.
one of the boy tols us, the girls.

I see you girls are so dryyy!!!!! @.@

omg. The look on your faces. >.<
Looks like you guys found gold or smthg. XDXD

Well, one of us girls got thrown into the pool.XD

I, on the other hand was trying to avoid being caught and thrown into the pool.
Well, this remind me of what happened in Kuala Selangor where our debates were held there.
The only difference here is that they've failed to throw me in the pool.
muahaha! since i was hugging myself onto a pole. XD

Anyway, I still got wet. somehow. =.="

All of us had so much fun!
To Ji Mi, Derrick, Joon Hong and Pei Jian.. XDXD
You guys should be here. we had loads of fun!

you know, i love walking and playing in the rain (not heavy rain).
Despite having your hair wet and messy, feeling chilly, clothes all wet and constantly wiping my glasses, I like it.
This year, i start playing in the rain more often than before. Its because, I love the feeling of it at that very moment.
The only feeling I felt was being truly happy.

Hmmm.. don't think that i do this every time it rains. XD

I have something to say but I just can't put them into words. ugh. All I want now is just a 10-hour sleep, watch a good movie and have fun.
now as in nowwww.....

Hmm... I just got home from Physics Tuition an hour ago.
A teeney weeney thing happened today.
Physics teacher asked us what is the function of a galvanometer.
No one answered except for Vi and myself.
My answer was to detect a smaller change of the reading of current.

WRONG!!!

o.O??
okaaaay... I know I'm not that good in physics but I'm really sure that my answer was correct.
So, I asked him, what is the answer?
and he was explaining this and that and finally he repeated my answer. =.="
i was like.... nevermind... probably he didn't understand what was I saying.

Currently, I'm brushing up with my studies.
Concentrate more in class, finish up all my homework, stay away from problems and be a good girl. =D

I feel like getting myself an ice-cream now.
No idea why. But I want it with nuts and chocolate chips.
Weird things are happening to me. I mean weird as in unusual.

Hmmm, something just crossed my mind.
its about shoes.
Talk about shoes, it reminds me of Bangkok.
I mean, a shopping mall there called Siam Paragon.
It doesn't look that big to me but I think its alright.
What I like abt this shopping malls is that
they have varieties of food to choose from.

So much so, it took me abt 30 minutes browsing through the whole food court and restaurants deciding what to get for myself.
and when I was purchasing something, I didn't know I have to have like a so called "credit card" to purchase my food.
Being so blur and innocent, I got myself a card which I still have it now with me.

Next floor, I went to a store.
Its something like Parkson/Isetan/ Metrojaya's concept but bigger.
Theres was 2 particular floors that caught my eyes.

The Lingerie Floor and
The Shoes Floor.

Not sections.
Its like the whole floor dedicated for lingerie/swim wear
and another whole floor dedicated for shoes.
@.@
The shoes are stunning!
But, I bought myself so many shoes recently. So, I don't really need one at all.
abt the lingerie. Hmm... I have to say I'm impressed.
"too much" to choose from. So many sizes, colours, designs, brands etc.

Okay.... I'm being weird right now.
I think its because I haven't have my dinner yet.

Next, I'm off to Bora Ombak.
Bye!

ps : staring at it blankly makes my really sad where theres nothing I could do about it. I don't know how am I supposed to tell you.

Forgive me, Im sorry.

I had a very busy weekend.
Well, more like a busy week.
Had classes everywhere.
Although I did not study much.
Obviously its because of the exam papers teachers are discussing.
The correct answers, the stupid answers and weird answers that we all do.

I remember, my english teacher pointed out that i did a really silly mistake.
That is spelling the word " principal" wrongly.
I guess you might know how i spelled it.
>.<>.<>.<>.<
It was Paul. our ex-schoolmate.
What a coincidence. XD
Well, all of us ate and talked abt so many things.

I went for my orthodontic appointment.
i was abt 10 minutes late.
Got everything changed and a new set of rubber bands which I nave to wear them for at least another month.
Went to Sg.wang after that.
Honestly, I wasn't in the mood at all. I was sad.
But, i was okay after that.

I feel really sad looking at it now. broken.
Maybe it wasn't meant to be.
or maybe I don't deserve it anymore.
I don't know.
aghh!!
now i don't know what to do or what to say abt the thing i broke.
Except,
Forgive me,
Im Sorry.

>.<

I feel like I have too much things in mind now.
Indeed, I have a lot of them.

Sometimes I just don't know what to do with them.
Cast them aside?
Nah, they'll be back one way or another.

Now, I'm a little afraid.
One owrd to describe it.
SPM.
The feeling is getting more real.
Not as vague as before.

I just got my add maths project assignment.
Something to do with Linear Law (oscillation of pendulum)
More like physics + add maths.
>.<
Looks like I have to start studying for real, which I've already did.
Start exercising to lose my tummy.
I got a lot of comments abt my tummy bulging out. >.<
Hmmm...

I need a 12 hour sleep.
but i can't so that untill saturday night. >.<
I can't believe I'm actually having extra classes on saturday.
Dang. I've already have plans for it.
nvm, i'll see how it goes tmr.

Tuesday, 10 June 2008

>.<
Headaches... please go away....
Panadol doesn't work.
These headaches wakes me up in the whee hours of the morning.

Because of this, I've not been talking or moving around much.
>.<

I got some of my exam papers and its quite bad.
well, quite bad within my expectations and capabilities.
Now, i feel really bad about and I seriously need to do something with it or else I'm dead.
SPM is so near. >.<
Need to be serious from now on.
and when I mention serious, its serious.
Well, to those who know me well enough, you'll know how serious I can be when I'm studying. XD

Hmmm...
Sometimes I just wanna clear my mind from everything.
I've been thinking too much lately.
>.< ugh... and whatever that I thought about are not good stuffs.
More like a probability.
I'm not sure whether to cry or not.
Well, I did not.
Sometimes, I want certain things to change.

I gtg now, I have homework to finish up.
well, at least today is the only day I'm free from extra activities from school and tuitions.
XD. Unlike the rest of the days, I have things to do.
Especially on wednesday, thursday and friday.
I'm quite busy on these days.
the busiest on thursday. >.<

Bangkok, Thailand

It feels great to be back home!
I just got home From Bangkok, Thailand yesterday night.
It wasn't the best holiday I've ever had but it was an amazing experience.
Anyway, 11 of us went there.
So, its more like a group vacation/tour.
I'll try to make this very brief.

4th June, Wednesday.

I woke up really early to pack my other remaining stuffs like my toothbrush, shampoo, etcetc.
Went straight to LCC Terminal Airport.
My flight is at 10.30a.m.
While waiting for it, all of us went to McDonalds to have our breakfast.

Thia is Joanna, my 6-year-old cousin eating her hash brown.

and this is Jasveen, my 6-year-old cousin too.

This, is me.

I really like this sunglasses.

Even though it doesn't belongs to me.
After our breakfast,
we ed at the waiting section.
and soon, its time.

hehe.. Bangkok here I come!

I can't help myself taking pictures of the clouds.
I love the pattern of it.

It was drizzling i guess.. hmm...

After 2 hours, all of us landed safely at Thai capital’s Suvarnabhumi Airport.

When we arrived, I have to adjust my watch abt 1 hour earlier than the malaysian time.

While looking for our tuor guide, I manage to take some pictures.

This is my uncle. He looks different because he's a Punjabi. He's Jasveen's dad.

ahh... finally! our flight number. But the name was written out wrongly. but its okay.

This here, is our tour guide/translator who will be bringing us around bangkok.
His name is Chumphom/ John - his nickname.

I was asking him whether could we get some bugs to eat or smthg. and he said
Sure!! can..can...
I bring you later!
lol..i don't know how true is that but we'll see.
and yess... i really want to try eating those things.

In the van..

After few hours in the plane and on the road, all of us were starving.
So, we went to this restaurant called MK Restaurant.
I don't know what does MK stands for but the food was ok-ok only.
It wasn't that special to me.

But something else caught my eyes was the waiters and waitresses started dancing when their restaurant theme song was aired.

It was something new to all of us as we've never seen this before. haha..

After that, we start ordering and i saw this on the menu...

Pigs Kidney. >.< and no i did not order it.

oh ya.. I almost forgot to mention the exchange rate here.
RM 1 = approx. 10baht.

The streets of Bangkok City.

You could see them everywhere! Selling Jasmine flower necklace or something like that.
one of those cost 20 baht.

and theres more..

The tuk-tuk. They're everywhere too. and The passengers are from east asia.
Well, this picture was taken at East Asian Town where you can find halal food.

well, there we a lot of colourful taxi's here. yellow, blue, pink, orange.

and i stumbled across this. A lady begging for some money.
well, no matter where you go, there's always this kind of thing.
Like this too..

...
im speechless.
Theres another one I saw bust I did not manage to take a picture of it.
It was a pair of husband and wife with their toddler sleeping under the highway.
They had nothing with them except the clothes that they were wearing.
All of us were kinda surprised when we saw them.
and according to John-our tour guide they would do anything for money.
Lets say if you don't they'll scratch car, break your window and things like that.
>.< gosh..

When night falls, we went out for dinner.

Before that, we went to Siam Paragon for some shopping but there was nothing to shop there.
Most of the things you can find it in KL.

www. I am a perfectionist. com.
lol...

well, another thing abt Bangkok, they reeeaaaaaaaaaaaaally love 7-eleven.
Seriously! there are too many 7-eleven's here.

and guess what. 3 of these pictures are taken on the same street. there more pictures of 7-eleven to come. XD

heres another one situated nearby.
well, we ate near this 7-11 shop.

The food looks really good and it is good!

Well, after that, we head back to our hotel room and slept.
in my room, I opened the fridge and found so many things to drink but I wasn't in the mood.

then i saw this..
LOL! Its not that I can use it. Al though I cant read thai but I know what it is.
I guess its normal to have these at hotels in Thailand. or maybe not.

the next day..
5th June, Thursday.

I woke up really early, bathed, got dressed and went downstairs for beakfast. The food was alright.
A lot of things to eat.

Today, we'll be going to..
The Floating Market
The Bridge of River Kwai
The Wax Museum
and The Mambo Cabaret Show.

I only got pictures from the floating market and The bridge of River Kwai.
Its because there was something wrong with the camera and I could not take any pictures.
But The pictures are in my aunty's camera.

So, here it goes.
It was a bright sunny day in Bangkok.
The weather here is really really hot.

Even standing here taking this picture, I was starting to sweat.

The journey from Bangkok City to The Floating Market took us about 2 hours.
I was darn sleepy and for the 1st time ever in 8 years, I was experiencing motion sickness.
So, I slept throughout the journey.

So, here is the floating market.

Nice eh??
XD Im just joking.
This is the beginning of the river or whatever it is called.
But I'm pretty sure its not a river.

enjoying the view.

and I saw this...
A picture of The King of Thailand, King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
And again, his pictures are also everywhere in the city.
even in front of this house!
The citizens really love their king so much.
and I could say they really loyal and really look up to him.

This was taken at the front door of a seafood restaurant.
and theres was another shoplot restaurant i went to,
nature calls.
I saw on their fridge, theres was a few pictures of their king and his family sticking on it.
It was a piece of magnet but it was just a photograph.
hmm...
I wouldn't do that back here in Malaysia.

ok.. back to the topic.. floating market.

and yes, a lot of people do live around here.

They sell a lot of stuffs but almost all the shops along the floating market sell abt the same thing but at different prices.
Don't worry, you can bargain a lot with them.
My uncle bought a puppet doll for his daughter at 300 baht from 1300 baht.
LOL! thats a huge difference.

Okay.. now, on our way to the real floating market.

theres too many boats around here.

waiting.....

john!
He's a really funny and extremely nice person.
They way he speaks English is really interesting.
English is not his 1st language and he speak ok english.
At least I'm able to understand what he says when he speaks in full sentence.

Over here in Bangkok, I have a teeney weeney problem.
Which is language barriers.
Most/ almost all people here don't know how to speak English.
So, its quite problematic for me to communicate with them especially when you're bargaining for a lower price or ask for directions or when they start speaking to me in Thai where I have no idea what they're saying.
Well, they came up with a perfect solution while bargaining with tourist.

They used calculators.
They key in the price on a calculator
they show it to you
and then if you're not satisfied and want to haggle,
you key in the price that you want.
So, this does on and on until it is final.
XD

I see it! I'm happy!!

The Floating Market.! They sell a lot of good here. They even cook in their own boats!
But, I wonder what do they use when they wash the dish plate/kuali.
The river water??
hmmm...

Thai people are really creative.
They will use their own country's resources as much as possible to make souvenirs.

There too much things to see!!

and to buy!! and some of these are not cheap you know.

lalalala....

My brand new Nike's!
Its Nike Free 7.0
Its super light, comfortable and flexible.
and it burnt a hole in my pocket already.

After browsing along the floating market, its time to head home.

are there fishies in there??

Well, this was a spectacular journey. I really really like the view here.

Anyway, renting a boat here is not cheap either. it cost us abt 1000 baht per boat. XD

After the floating market,
we went to The Brigde of River Kwai.
It took us abt another 1 hour to reach there.
and again I slept in the van.

Tada!!

Okay, heres a brief history abt the bridge.
It is located a place called Tha Makham, about 5km from the Thai town of Kanchanaburi.

This was part of a project to link existing Thai and Burmese railway lines to create a route from Bangkok, Thailand to Rangoon, Burma (now Myanmar ) to support the Japanese occupation of Burma.
About a hundred thousand conscripted Asian labourers and 12,000 prisoners of war died on the whole project
And abt 80000 people died during WWII.

hmm..

this bridge was only used for 2 years.

and now its just a tourist area/ white elephant.

The cemetary of the people who died on the bridge.

Hmmm... I'm not so sure what she's staring at. XD

this is one weird menu. whisky shake??

ordering our food.

coconut whisky shake. It taste really horrible.
Its not even from the real coconut!
its powdered coconut. eek! that drink is not mine. XD

=DDDD

It was a really hot hot day.

I wish I could take a bath.
But not like that okay.
Not in public.
>.<

After our lunch, we went for a little shopping.
I bought some bracelet and an anklet.

This lady is really friendly.

XD I manage to get a picture of her! cute??

On our way to our next journey ( the wax museum), we met a lot of people selling things.

gosh... they would do anything just for money.

okay... thats all for today..
I don't have any pictures at the wax museum and the mambo cabaret show because my camera broke down.
lol..
But I have to get the pictures from my aunty's camera.
Stay tuned!

oh ya.. if you're wondering what The Mambo Cabaret Show is..
Its about ladies who perform varieties of cultural shows.
What I meant abt the word ladies is ladies who are originally guys.
They undergo operation and taking hormone pills just to look like a lady.
and all i have to say is..
THEY'RE UNBELIEVABLY AMAZINGLY SUPER DUPER JAW DROPPING hot and beautiful....
>.< Even I, as a girl could say that.
Really. they are really beautiful.
I'll post the pictures when I have them.

After watching the show,
we went to The Suan Lum Night Bazaar for shopping.
It opens until 1a.m.

If you want varieties of things, go here.
Some are expensive and some are really cheap.
It depends on how you bargain actually.
There are too many shops to browse and I manage to browse 1/4 of it.
I bought a lot of cheap things.
I manage to buy a dress for abt 220 baht from 450 baht.
15 pairs of t-shirts for1500 baht.
and more.. which i can't remember.

After the night Bazaar, we went back to out hotels and slept.
I slept quite late because I was waiting for my hair to dry.
While waiting, I watched an orchestra performance on tv.
A lady violinist, the soloist for the whoel orchestra.
Shes really good. but I only watch it halfway as it was already 2 a.m.

I was also trying to repair my camera.
Thank god I brought along my mini screwdriver that was meant for my glasses and I unscrew everything.
Figure out how to repair it.
After several trials and errors, I've successfully repaired it!
Muahahahaha!!!
I'm happy now. ^^

6th of June, Friday

Today, we went to

Safari World, Bangkok
The food court at The Night Bazaar
China Town

I woke up a little late today.
Had breakfast.
and I was really sick of their breakfast already.
The same old food as yesterday's.
I ate a little.

Got into the van and started watching the mr.bean series.
After days of watching it, I got sick of it.
and I watched all of them already.
again I slept in the van. Motion sickness and headache.

We reached The Safari World 1 hour later.
It was for the kids. XD
I was just tagging along.
but to my surprise, I enjoyed myself.

At the entrance.

Parrots all over the place!

This looks more like candy land! XD First we went to The crocodile garden.

Hmm.. I don't know whether is this real or fake.
But it looks real enough to me.
I did not take this pic btw.
He doesn't look like a staff there nor a crocodile caretaker.

Then, we watched The Orang Utan Show.
They're from Sabah and Borneo.

Huge crowd.

The whole show was conducted mainly in Thai Language.
So, I have no idea what are they saying.
Except the word Sawa-dee-kaa. it means hello.

I manage to pick up some thai words such as

korp khun mach - Thank you very much
krap/ka -
Yes
kor thot -
Excuse me/Sorry
an-nee thao rai -
How much is this?
Pom phoot thai ma dai -
I can't speak Thai

Anyway...

After that, we went to the Sea Lion Show.

These creatures are smart! XD

next,

we watched some Cowboy show.

and again all the scripts are in Thai.
I have no idea what are they saying again but i get the picture from their body language and the storyline.

he was shot.
and it was a fantastic performance with some explosions here and there.

okay, after that, we went to The Bird Park.

My aunty and my mum.

So far, I manage to take pictures until here.
My battery died. =.="

I got more pictures and its not with me again.
I fed some birds and giraffes.

oh yea.. guess what? the toilet here in Safari world won the The Best Toilet of The Year Award.
Hmm... I wonder do they have it here in M'sia?

Safari World In Bangkok is 100 times better than Zoo Negara.
XD.

After Safari World, we went back to our hotels since we are quite tired and sticky.
So, I was quite lucky to have a chance to bathe after a looooog sizzling hot day, charge my camera battery and have a short nap.

My parents, uncle and aunty went for a foot massage.
My younger cousin and my sister went swimming.
and i'm the only one sleeping. =.="

okaayy...
after all those, we went out for dinner
at the food court of The Suan Lum Night Bazaar.

The entrance to the food court.
and I saw this statue.
really nice...
I was staring at it so near at his glasses.
and sudden;y it moved!!
@^*&$^#@(*$^@(!!!!!!
I got a shock of my life!!!
and it start talking.

my gawd.....

You're really good!
I didn't realise it until I saw a basket of money in front of him.
I gave him 20 baht for it. XD

My dad and I.

After our dinner,
we continue browsing around the night bazaar again.
None of us bought anything.
We wanted to go to China Town actually instead of the food court.
But according to john, the traffic was really congested.

But we went to China town at abt 11. XD

can you spot how many 7-elevens are there???? XD

Ofcourse China Town have a lot of Chinese.
and the locals speak chinese too.
ahh... at least Im somewhere I could understand what they are saying.

hmmm... >.<
I felt really sorry for them.
I had some extra change and I gave to them instead. They needed it more than I do.

Even after our dinner at the night bazaar, my parents and relatives could not stop eating.
Well, How could you resist such good food?

I, on the other hand was bored since I'm allergic to most of the seafood.
=.=" but they look really delicious.
Huge crabs and prawns.

I remember I used to do this too when I was younger.

After china town,
we went to One Avenue or known as Cowboy Avenue.

It is where all the pubs/blubs are situated.
A lot of ang-mo lang. XD

I did not enter ofcourse.
We just passed by there only to see how it looked like.

yeahh..
Great... something (i can't interpret it)
Good Music
Cold Beer
No Hassle!

As promised, John brought me to this stall.

Beetles, grasshoppers, cockroaches and worms.
i know its disgusting.
omg.. I though John was joking abt bringing me to eat these stuffs.
well, as I said I wanted to try.
I bought some grasshoppers and worms ONLY.
I dont dare to buy the cockroaches and beetles. >.<

Bought a plastic bag of it that cost only 20 baht = RM 2

I ate only half of the amount I bought.
Its not that it taste bad.
Its just that, I can't get the thinking of I'm eating bugs off my head.
It taste quite good actually.
and no, I did not wake up having a really bad stomach ache/ diarrhea.

The last day, 7th June

Its our last day here.
Today, we went to

Little Sikh Town
and MBK Centre.

nothing much in Sikh Town.

I just went inside this gurdwara.
and I was also invited to go inside!
One Sikh guy asked whether if I went inside already,
have i ate already?
and offer us to eat inside and stuff like that.
That was something..
He said, anyone can enter this place.

oh ya.. I realised that bangkok still have those telephone cables along the streets.
M'sia used to have that those days but not much anymore now.

hmm.. they really need to do something abt this.
Looks like maggi mee got tangled up.

After that, we have some time to spare, we went to MBK Centre for some more shopping.
XD

You see how bad was the traffic?

That is why I hate Bangkok for the traffic jams.
The traffic is always congested all the time!

anyway, MBK Centre is something line the Night Bazaar
but things over here are cheaper.

There are a lot of shops too.
and theres one particular shop that I could remember .

I tagged along with both of my aunties for some shopping.
So, they went into this shop that sells a lot of bags.
I did not enter as I didn't wanna buy any bags.
So, I saw a sign at the entrance that says...

DON'T VISIT IF YOU DON'T BUY ANYTHING.

.... what on earth is this???
So, I wanted to take a picture of it
and it had Another sign says

NO PICTURES/CAMERAS ARE ALLOWED.
FINE 1000 BAHT.

wth??!! and the shop lady was staring at me..
So, I didn't wanna get myself into trouble, I called my aunties to read the sign.
all of us laughed!

what a weird thing to put up.
no wonder the shop was empty.

After shopping, we went to the food court to eat our lunch.
We ate at..

Everywhere in Bangkok, the food court uses card for payments.
When you enter the food court, you'll be given a card so that you could purchase your food.
Great idea.
I was really lost when I was trying to buy a drink at the food court at Siam Paragon.
and they told me I have to buy a card.
I was so blur I didn't know what card I'm supposed to buy.
So, the guy showed me how it works. XDXD

and at the end of the day, after you finish eating, you have to go to the main counter and pay for the food.
and you can't leave without paying.

lol..

and I saw another thing.
It is an Advertisement.

XDXD

After everything.
It was time to go to the airport.

Group Photo!!

Before we leave, all of us said goodbye to John and thank him for doing a magnificent job.

On our journey back home, the weather was quite bad and the plane was shaking all the time.
Theres air turbulence.
and... theres once where the plane fell a little but its enough to scare all of us.

However,

I'm just glad to be back home in Malaysia.
It made me appreciate Malaysia more than before.

oh ya, guess what?
The parking fee at LCC Terminal cost us abt RM144.
So, be smart next time people.

Thats all for now.. Bye!
School starts tomorrow!

Dang. I've already have plans for it.
nvm, i'll see how it goes tmr.
