We rushed to KL Sentral in 10 minutes. It was such a relief as we thought we were late. We got onto the bus and waited down there for 45 minutes. It is already 5.15 a.m.
I was already feeling uneasy. Finally, after the bus was filled up, the bud finally made its move. I slept halfway in the bus. I was awaken by the sudden brake. I hate it when buses or any vehicle does this.It always throws me forwards. Thank you Newton. Law of Inertia.
In my head, all I could think of is "shit. crap. yer.... when are we reaching!!!!!??" About 45 minutes later, we got down the bus and started running, running and running. You know, like in those shows. We were already late. As we were running, we were trying to find the booth for us to check in.
Running, looking, running and looking..... We can't find anything. It was already 20 minutes before our 6.55a.m flight. We asked around about how to check in and all of them told us,
"I'm sorry, the check-in booth to Penang has already closed"
15 minutes before 6.55 a.m.
Kok Siang, Vinaya, kah Fai and Khai Wen already check-in and they are still stuck with us. The 4 of us, Jhun, Shaz, Charmaine and I panicked. We we not prepared for this at all. I never thought this is actually happening.
Anyway, we asked around again on how to solve this.
"I'm afraid you have to purchase a new flight ticket because the gate has already closed"
10 minutes before 6.55 a.m.
"Kok Siang, I think you guys should go first without us or else you'll miss your flight and the ticket would be a waste!! Don't worry about us, we'll find a way to get there."
Kok Siang and the others was kinda angry. Suddenly, there was an announcement calling for Kok Siang, Vinaya, Khai Wen and Kah Fai to board the plane.
So, we tried begging them to let us in but they just won't allow it. At that moment, I was hoping that those dramas I've watched will come true. Us, checking in late and the air-steward(ess) will let us in and everything was fine and dandy.
Too bad. We were stuck down there. The 4 of us were angry, disappointed and frustrated. We only had 1 hour of sleep. The night before, I only had 4 hours of sleep. Ugh. *inserts profanities!!!!!!!!*
We bought new tickets. A one way ticket to Penang that cost RM 150 each. Coming back from Penang to KL will not be a problem as we can still use the tickets we purchased earlier. *inserts profanities!!!!* Now, I am short on RM 150. Now, I have enough money to spend in Penang.
6.55 a.m
The earliest flight to Penang is at 11.10 a.m. We had 4 hours to spend. We went to McDonalds. We played cards, ate mcd breakfast and tried to get some sleep. You know, now I hate McDonalds. Almost everything from the menu shrunk and the price is just so freaking expensive. I hate their breakfast menu. Big breakfast taste like crap, I quote by friends. Its too small. I find is quite small for myself too. =.=" I bought a McFlurry about 1 week earlier and I was so shocked to see how tiny the McFlurry was.
The cup shrunk to half of its original size and yet the price is more expensive!!! WTH!!! I questioned the mcd guy, "Eh, Why mcflurry became so small????" He told me its still the same amount (as in the content). grrrrr.... Thinking about it cheesed me off.
A sundae cone (vanilla) - Before ( RM 1.05) / After (RM 1.50)
McChicken meal set - The price increased from RM 6.80 to RM 10 something.
same goes to the rest.
Anyway, the four of us were stuck at LCCT for 4 hours. I was so hungry that I gave in to mcd. Shaz and Charmaine finished theirs already. Jhun said. "I die also wont order mcd" LOL. Ah well, The only think I love about mcd is their fatty french fries and thememories I had when I was there.
We boarded our flight at 11.00 a.m. We missed watching the sun rise. It was Shaz and Jhun's first flight. Its my third time flying and I was so worried about the pain in my ears that happened to me in the first 2 flights. Really, it hurts and I was so paranoid.
Well, we reached Penang at last. We met up with the other 4 and checked in to our room. We went for lunch at some stall. I was so hungry and ordered something. My Iced Milo was tasteless. 45 minutes later, my food did not arrive. I asked them where is it and they said they ran out of it. *Insert profanities!!!!!* I did not eat anything for lunch. We went back to our hotel and slept.
We went to Gurney Plaza that night, bought tickets to watch Marley and Me & Watchmen for the following night. We went to Gurney Drive to eat. I was starving that I ate 2 plates of Char Kuay Teow. Nothing much on Day 1.
Marley & Me was a touching show. I cried watching that show.
I've seen so many rainbows but this is the biggest rainbow I've ever seen.That's all we did for Day 1.
